Always a pleasure seeing this ring. Speaking of ring.. look at what i won at an auction last week.
3 fucking oz of silver -minus the big carnelian stone- lol, it's an ancient islamic ring worn by old scholars/erudites, so only on the little finger (only finger authorized for men's rings in islam). It's from Afghanistan, but i couldn't get any other infos, idk how old it is (XVIIIth c. i'd say?).

The thing is clownishly large and heavy, idk how you could wear this all day long, it's very unpractical. If i'm lucky i'll find out it was owned by some famous imam or scholar, the seller i got it from always have the wildest historic stuff on sale (even personal items from presidents).

Extremely unlikely knowing the germans, they are the most paper-pushing, codes & standards following race on earth. If a regulation exist, you can bet the germans are following it, even if they aren't required to.
The somalis on the other hand are well known scammers, crooks and bullshitters.

99.99% certain it's just corrupt officials from the Somali government/"mint" (this institution most likely only exist on paper since they never minted anything themselves) and signed with the germans with no oversight from higher authorities and kept the money for themselves.
The somali government never cared about this until a (((lawyer))) told them they could milk the germans with some niggers' croco tears about le evil white nazi exploiting le fragile & innocent baboon. But in reality it's the somalian government trying to blame the germans for their own corruption, which is a very chutzpahtic thing to do.

In the US modern restrikes are usually considered as placeholders in a collection when you can't get the real thing. So they're not usually valuable beyond the metal they're made of. Not sure how they are in EU, but here there not worth much. Some rare and old restrikes go up in value, but most of them aren't great as collectibles. As long as the dies still exist people can always make more.
Anonymous (ID: lQpgX9ox) No.60695064
>>60695022
They should be priced about as low above spot as you can get, special sales aside.
They have no numismatic value, but then the originals don't have much (if any) either. It's just gold. But for gold they're big in diameter - 40 mm, so yeah - that's cool.

I totally agree with you dear touristanon. But you see, this is a daily general, existing for 7 years now, and there is only so much infos you can share about shiny rocks (they don't even move, they just stay there... being shiny, that's it!).
So the first 2 years you got lot of infos being posted as people were mostly ignorant of the rocks, but now they know everything about it, so very little "fundamentals" get shared anymore since everybody here knows all the metrics.

I agree it's not very newcomers-friendly, but on the other hand it would be very boring to share always the same infos in every thread, don't you think?

I come here specifically for the numismatics. I like the info, but it's usually stuff I already know. To me the pictures are the main draw. I like antique coins and medals and bars.
I also like particularly pretty bullion like pre-33 and the modern stuff photoanon posts. Frogbro's recent finds are always interesting. NGCanon's german medals are interesting to look at also.

I don't like how all of these bullion dealers are pushing all these spot deals this weekend after a big dump like that.
It only tells me that they expect it to dump lower and they're trying to push as much inventory as they possibly can onto the unsuspecting retail investor and let them hold the bag.
This reminds me a whole lot of the March 2025 Silver Squeeze before we dumped all the way back down to $28. Same exact scenario going on here.

I'd much prefer to buy these coins than generic bars or something. The 20 corona is 5% over spot which here is not too bad a premium but the issue is I'll have to pay sales tax which is 13% which makes any coins under 99.9% a hard sell

Idiotic video. I mean, genuinely midwit-tier stupidity.
The Bavarian Mint is state-owned enterprise of the Free State of Bavaria and is a for-profit mint.
Mints often make bullion "coins" backed by foreign governments. Sometimes they're actual currency for the country which has no mint of its own, sometimes it's pure for-profit bullion that takes advantage of the tax laws of several nations that don't charge VAT or sales taxes on coins, rather than generic bullion.
BSM has made vullion coins in agreement with Somalia for a couple decades now.
Other mints that make bullion coins backed by countires: Legrand, Germania, Scottsdale, Gdansk...

yeah if generics have less tax I'd get them personally.
but if it's the same rate and you really like the restrike go for it. I would take photoanon's good advice upthread-

if the original doesn't cost much more than the restrike then definitely get the original coin instead. I consider restrikes inferior to original strikes. If I can get an original I definitely would. Restrikes are only for extremely rare stuff nobody can afford or find.

I could totally see it. On the other hand, idc, because it wont magically make the silver production deficit disappear. Nor will it prevent the $$ printer to go BRRR into self-extinction. The dealers can play their little tricks to inflate their short term margin, but in the end the price will have to go up, it's inevitable.

The precious metal's consecutive daily declines have produced what technical chartists recognize as a "three red crows" pattern, a formation that historically signals potential trend reversals and extended downward momentum.

I did a Tabletop Simulator implementation and can teach you if you have Steam/time. The Tabletop Sim link is in the /tg/ OP post.
>>>/tg/96166115

Will be posting a video play through demo soon.

It's not too far off from MTG or YGO but it is different. Close to early MTG/YGO in terms of complexity. Much easier to pick up if you played either of them ever.

Threadly reminder you can request a free set (no identifying or payment info required). See /tg/ OP.

> I gave my brother the purple deck. need to figure out how to play it.
in this case maybe you want to leave the box set sealed and use the packs for playing. the box set contains every card (1080), is exactly equal to all 12 of those pack sets of which you got 3/12 of. Each of those 12 pack sets is enough for 2 decks.

Also these playmats have proven to make learning and playing the game much easier, i'll have some soon to make available. The files are available if you want to make your own. They contain all the basic rules/definitions/zones/reminders, enough to play. They are in the tabletop sim implementation though.
