Is Claiming VA Disability a good financial decision? My coworker who just went to basic training and a couple months of reserve weekends got separated and was able to get PTSD despite not really doing anything. This chart is outdated, 70% is $1,700 in 2025

Is this true? And if this is true, do you know what happened to him and what % he got? Saying "he got PTSD" doesn't automatically mean he got 100%.

If you think you can get VA disability easily then go enlist.

Everyone I know that was in the military for even a few months gets this. It’s honestly sad. I personally think a lot of the inflation we are seeing is from this. It just started in the mid 2000s. Before that almost nobody did this

In the Marines, there is a large stigma about going to medical or mental health. Also, this sort of pride, "I'm not claiming disability," while they're actively struggling with health issues. Ironically, the Zoomers crying about everything have helped a lot with asking for help from active, reserve, and retired military personnel.

The inflation comes from the economy still healing from covid. All that money printing an ting. Just between us girls....I think deflation is going to suck allot more.

Yeah but whenever I look at my records they're blank. Gonna go for mental stuff instead. I didn't go to behavioral health because i didn't want to lose my clearance

I think my anxiety is service connected. I can't answer the phone or even look at my mail without getting intense anxiety. Do I just go to the VA and try to get this documented by a psychologist?
