At least in my line of work ( game development ) Using AI, its easy to refactor code, implement functionality, refine visuals and quickly draft/storyboard new ideas or concepts in record time - this all means there is less labour that needs to be done by paid humans.

Maybe you work in a field less exposed to technical tools so you might not notice this change, but ask anyone who works in a technical/digital field about AI and they will tell you that its being used across their company.
