All their coffee are belong to them, gringo.
>>60733760and ideally it's low-to-no code, the user shouldn't have to code, but if they want to, it's there. I want the user to be able to enter their strategy in a YAML file very simply, here's an example of a config that would do a parameter sweep on a Bollinger band:

Can any anons spare a hint on how to bypass the paywall on SeekingAlpha?
I need that sweet, sweet confirmation bias and none of the usual methods that work fine for news publications such as WSJ are working...
>>60733765>it's non-functional currently, just a UI mock upBefore any feedback, what are your goals and expecations? Is it competing with another existing platform?
>>60733770if China turns out isnt able to replace the US market, because less money distributed over more people, wont that just mean cheaper coffee for everyone except for the US?
>>60733777in for answers. i cant get past it either.

>>60733751Is this a bug? If it is a positive value it updates to a + with number, but otherwise it just shows the number.
Also the 30 seconds update function isn't really working.
GUI looks nice, but that is also because I suck at GUI design. Don't know who would use such a site for designing trading stategies
>>60733777They put the paywall behind something server loaded. You can still read comments though...
>>60733751>>60733765Extremely bland UI, badly needs a dark mode.
Are you planning to actually support paper trading etc.? Do you have a brokerage license to let people trade with real money? Is this for-profit or just a hobby project?
>>60733306How else does any other social media site make money? Ads, you big dummy.
>>60733765>>60733805Oh, I also think the news feed on the left is too big. I'm probably going to care way more about my returns if I'm running algorithmic trading.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

>>60733778The end goal is to scratch two itches, a Hacker News clone but for finance, and a tool to research, develop and deploy strategies.
What I intend for the tool to do differently is to cache signals from strategies into a database, and put a lot of emphasis on the research phase of the workflow. I don't see other platforms doing that, they usually treat backtests as a one off process and you get what you get at the end. I want the user to have the ability to inspect performance under various regimes, correlation with other strategies, explore optimal parameters (including take profit and stop loss), etc etc in an exploratory manner. This currently takes place on the 'Research' tab, essentially a Jupyter notebook with a library of snippets and templates to facilitate exploratory analysis without much code. This is how it works on my offline backend currently, I use Jupyter notebooks in the same manner.
The Develop tab will be an IDE that facilitates development of new strategies, execution models, etc, the Replay tab is used to step through bar by bar with an event log to ensure it's functioning properly..
>>60733805There is a dark mode, see the icon between Deploy and Login.
>>60733796Thanks for the feedback.
>>60733798It's all non-functional UI mockup, so the logic and stuff doesn't have to make sense yet. I'll have to investigate what you're referring to later.
>>60733805>>60733821I would like to support paper trading but may have to do some work around like Trading View and their web hooks to avoid regulatory issues. Haven't looked that far into that yet, I'm mostly building it for myself currently but the end goal would be getting users.
Your portfolio would be on the 'Deploy' tab, or maybe on a user account page or something. Not the front page. The stuff to the right of the news feed on the left is all just market overview stuff. Market heat map, stock watch list, earnings and Econ calendar, and market headline news feed.
>>60733765>>60733775well UI-wise, I like it. Should probably add an option to add and remove or change the size of the different widgets or whatever they're called. Can't say much about the rest of it since, again, I'm a troglodyte. The fact that I can even post here is a small miracle.
>>60733780>in the first place im not the one with stubborn biases against 2 trillionI don't have a "stubborn bias", I just don't like herd mentality and can think for myself. I don't care if it goes to 100 trillion as long as there's no economic activity backing it. Your type is why bubbles form in the first place.
>the goal is to make money no matter how stupid it is, as long as the risk makes senseI'm not against people using crypto to make money, just like I'm not against casinos. What I am against is people trying to portray cryptoshit as something it isn't.
>>60733843Glad you think it looks good. The widgets being customizable is a good idea, thanks!

Having the same fucking couple companies running every casino is half the problem. Sports betting being legal everywhere plus Indian casinos are a big factor, but the real fuckup was turning the cities prime attractions into these sort of homogenized entities. I think people really would like some of the "character" to return. Yes, I'd like to stay in a giant pirate ship and I'd even endure the current prices to do so. I know it's a meme term but the place feels like it's losing soul. People will tank prices but they won't tank lame shit being lame.

>>60733893oh and this "homogenization" of everything (mixing races, diluting any sort of character) has been the goal of you know who for a long time and it's rearing it's digustingly ugly drab head as a manifestation of "muh melting pot" in Vegas for the world to see.

>>60733831I'm kinda wondering if you're actually just looking for an existing data aggregation package and a way to sort it out, and then be able to build a web UI that makes it pretty and easy to use. ELK Stack comes to mind.
>>60733923>I want to go to Vegas and feel like the fucking man not like some cog in the machine like I do in my daily life. The only things that interest me for Vegas is the Heart Attack Grill and the buffets. Everything else can get fucked.
>>60733765So what's the editorial concept here? Are the users going to provide the articles/papers and you provide the hosting? How would you monetize it and/or compensate authors?
Seems like it would be expensive and nearly a full time job to get it workable to a degree where anyone who has something intelligent to say would consider publishing there. If you're already rich/retired this is a based project, otherwise it seems like an extremely costly, risky and borderline shizophrenic undertaking.

>>60733953I was thinking it'd be similar to Hacker News, just link aggregation, either from user submission (user making a post with the link) or automatic (e.g, if I the site subscribes to a blog or something). I'm not expecting the users to write content, just comments and potentially sharing their Jupyter notebooks.
I just want a user to be able to read a paper, implement the strategy from it, tweak it and deploy all in one site.
>>60733941Thank you for the insight here, I can tell you understand what I'm trying to do. I'll check that out.

>>60733987Yes and no, it can display 1 frame of desktop (usually containing the summary) but you can't scroll down to read the full article. It's basically like opening the link and taking a screenshot at superhuman speed before the 'buy subscription now' mask appears.

Maybe try to overlap with a concert. It seems like the big gay casinos are almost the week point when people are more hot on Fremont Street or slight-drive-away attractions. Because I agree with the other posters here - if they won't make me feel like Mr Big Dick with free drinks then I'm not playing the increasingly rigged games. >>60734174Because the American experiment can not fail. Everything will come down with us and they will not allow it. Buy the damn dip. The line will go up
>>60734212That's pretty normal for Healthcare/pharma stocks. They'll build themselves up for months about research on an dementia drug or something then they get a failed trial and it drops by 90%
>>60734212Biotech failed to deliver, crashed 99%. Happens a lot when the clinical trials don't deliver, especially Phase I and Phase II trials. It's basically investors deeming the company and its products a total dud.
Nearly all of them do not recover past that point.
>>60734212>>60734276>>60734282I did a deep dive into biotech last year and was going to publish a thing but I lost interest
Anyways, Phase 2 is most likely to fail, and dementia is a difficult thing to treat.
Best to target Phase 3 trials (you can find calendars here) which have only a 65% pass rate or so, but between P1 and P2, it's the most likely to pass, with P2 being the highest fail rate - if it passes that, it's likely to succeed. Also look at smallcaps, which are often live or die R&D acquisition machines. It takes like 7-10 years to get a new drug approved from start to finish
If you actually want to deep dive and not just play potential news events, you have to look at partnerships and burn rates as well
>>60734162Absolutely, YouTube is a complete piece of shit, creators would flock to a service that is less oppressive and arbitrary in their content management.
With a miniscule fraction of hosting cost you could poach a significant chunk of the videoessay crowd who are relevant to prime consumer demographics.
For instance, a channel such as Lemmino can produce videoessays with a per-unit cost that consists entirely of their own salary + 1 editor full time (let's say 30-50k USD) that is on par with television documentaries that have a per-unit cost of 100-500k USD. Of course that's an outlier in terms of content quality, but less proficient channels have even cheaper production than that.
Some have tried to create curated platforms that are subscription-based, such as Curiosity Stream, but what's really needed is a full-scale competitor that is creator friendly.

Something about treating macular degeneration, and it turns out the eyes have more tissue layers than onions and it's not easy for medicines to penetrate where the treatment would be effective. Learned the hard way, but the money was insubstantial.
>and dementia is a difficult thing to treat.Modern science today doesn't have a good idea of why it happens in the first place. With no reliable way to get a solid set of indications and warnings, and also mechanisms of actions of what causes it, any efforts towards it will just be thrashing in the dark.
>>60734320I've been an active Tumblr user for over a decade and I think it offers a lot we could apply to a new social media site in terms of users sharing content with each other instead of traditional algorithmic slop. i remember missing out on TSSI at like $2.5 because it already went up like 5x by then, even though SMCI already shit the bed and it was clear TSSI was going to snatch all the business from Dell and with their tiny marketcap they could multiply even more. and well it went from $2 to >$20 lmao
i dont think IMP.TO/ITMSF can scale that fast but they do have hundreds of millions in the pipeline now, plus indonesia contract would also total to $200m eventually as they go to phase 2 and beyond (initial contract was like $20m for the first 10% of indonesia)

There's also telecoms like AT&T (T) if you just want to hodl it.
The honest assessment is probably to throw the money at an index fund since the market isn't even close to going full retard just yet.

I have a car loan for 728 monthly, 36 months, paid a single month so far, total of $25480 remaining over the next 3 years.
I can pay off the loan completely (requested a payoff quote) for $23,280.41. So I would save around $2200. I have this much cash on hand and could pay it off right now.
The $2.2k I would gain seems very small to me for the inconvenience of putting up the money up front, and I can very likely invest it for a profit. On the other hand I don't like being in debt, nor having shit taken out of my paycheck.
What would anon do?
Redditors are doomposting.
Should I finally capitulate and buy this tiny dip? Been meaning to buy more Amazon and Google shares since april but I got too greedy, thinking it'd go down much further so I kept waiting and waiting until I was priced out. Now they're at least a little bit down from ATH.
>>60735641>I have a car loan>What would anon do?Not have a car loan. Whats wrong with a 2k beater car? My toyota did cost me 1200โฌ and it runs great for 4 years now.
If it shits on me its going to the dumpster and i get a new one.
Taking loans for cars is niggerish.
We are so back bullbros, we survived the crash of 2025 V2
Someone talk some fucking sense into me
400 shares of ULTY and letting drip would payout a million in 5 years. And this is assuming NAV erosion.
If you put it in a Roth its tax free.
Why the fuck would you not do that?
Clearly they have a decent put strategy if they held up MUCH better to a downturn compared to traditional leverage ETFs like TQQQ and SOXL?
SOXL is down 10% in the last 6 months but including the jewish leverage math its obviously much more.
ULTY is down 30% but if you include the payments its actually green (depending on your avg)
You can even grab 200 shares and drip the divvies into schd or SPYI and it will snowball. Again in a Roth if taxes are a big issue.
What the fuck is the catch?????
This is not more risky than option trading I think and time adjusted I bet you'd make more with ULTY.
These fucking jews always kike you somehow though, what am I missing here?
>>60733877Was better when it was run by the Mafia, finance bros are just another brand of criminal except infinitely less interesting or fun.

>>60734888there will never be another 2008, the difference this time and previous financial crashes is that the people with the power to print money stayed on the sidelines and let shit play out, not this time.
They will print as much as they need to save stonks if there is an actual crisis.
yield maxxers must stop posting immediately
>>60735756Because the dividend return is based on the price of the underlying ETF and its price is constantly dropping, the ETF has only existed for a year and its price is already less than a third of its original price and declining steadily, if you hold it long you will lose everything.
Bro literally open a multi-year graph and you will have your answer
>>60735767Also this, literally a legal ponzi scheme.

It's all so tiresome
>>60735786>>60735767Hold up, if you bought in around march its been steady at $6/share, how would that be ROC and not income?
>>60735783Yes the NAV erosion is my biggest concern.
However, in the scenario of dripping in a Roth its mostly offset no?
If not, using 60% or so percent of the divvie to buy more shares and keep your average low seems to offset this.
I'm mainly comparing the risk:payout of ULTY vs option trading on your own. Former seems to avg out to about the same money but its actually less risky? And this is assuming youre a good options trader.
This is driving me crazy I need to get to the bottom of this.
each passing yield max reply itt drives us closer to the singularity
>>60735820Shut the fuck up you stupid tripnigger faggot.
since you want to argue about why yield slop is actually good somehow go into the archives and re-read every yield max arugment ever made because it has easily passed 300+ replies. Every argument against it has been hashed out already you pathetic poorfag, or better yet, you should buy it and brag about your gainz in 5 years.
tax returns hit my account.
shill me tickers so i can lose them in a hearbeat
And again, all you need is roughly $3000 at the current share price with dripped divvies to hit a million in a Roth in 5 years. THIS IS TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE NAV EROSION
Other than YM going bankrupt what the FUCK is the downside to this?????????!?!?!
If the tripnigger keeps replying I will bash his tripnigger skull into the pavement btw. This *IS* a threat.

dotcom bubble started because companies also started getting everything related to internet because they did not want to get left behind
all the fundamentals investors who can recognize which pennyscams have the best chances are going to rake in so much money, fundamentals help lower downside so you're not buying garbage like POET with no proven business models yet despite being half a billion already.
at this stage there are still plenty of tickers under 200m market cap with proven products, some already achieving profitability, some with operational leverage, some with absurd value to customers like a solution costing $5 million but saving the customer $80m a year
there are also garbage you have to watch out for, not POET, they might look good on paper but they offer a solution that will get replaced or only temporary, no moat, like ai data center cooling solutions which got fucked when amazon decided to make their own solution rather than relying on an ai pennyscam
