So, you get to pay the entire restaurant bill when she asks you to take her family out for dinner. You get to pay for her mother's medical care when the old bat gets sick. You get to pay for her father's drunken gambling debts when the loansharks threaten to break his legs. You get to pay for her cousin's boyfriend's musical instruments when he wants to start a band.
Thailand, they'll scam you out of money for "my family water buffalo is sick, need medicine", "my grandma is sick, need medicine." Or maybe you'll get to join the Flying Farangs Club when her brothers and cousins invade your hotel room and throw you off the balcony so she inherits everything from you as your spouse.
Other Asian countries have similar issues.
