Blursed thread, bad omen.
Approach markets with caution tomorrow.
this is a really shitty bake
>>60739283>NVO earnings is this weekoh
should I close my position
>>60739283Thanks for improving it with earnings ^^

>>60739283so which of these won't shit the bed?
PLTR is going negative tomorrow. Its earnings beat only sputtered up a meager 4% AH. Call holders will be crushed by IV and theta. It is unironically over.
I can only buy one more share for my roth IRA before I hit my 10% limit (I like to keep at least 10% in cash). Despite being late, will just one of NVDA see me through in addition to the eight I have of VOO, QQQ, and eighty of SCHD so far?
>>60739283>Duolingo spiking in MayWhat the fuck happened?
PLTR and RKLB are making my portfolio look nightmareishly green.
I don't want to pay more gains taxes again to my whore govt, but these valuations are making me nervous. I've never used options before, but I want some puts now just in case I get rugpulled. I strictly want insurance, no gambling. What strike price would you recommend for PLTR, and what expiration?
>>60739370I didn't even know Duolingo was public.
The market is straight bussin' unc, fr fr, sheesh.
>>60739418Later this week we should revisit last week's lows, possibly go a little lower for a full 5%-6% correction. But then we go to SPY 700 by end of year.
>>60739331>Robinhood>live in europe
>>60739433When your portfolio is as big as mine, you'll be able to travel like me too.
>>60739370May was when the Duolingo CEO came out and said they were an AI-first company and basically said translators are fucking worthless compared to the computing gods. Stock shot up immediately afterward along with a lot of seethe on the Duolingo subr*ddit
>>60739430Unc take your heart pills and go to bed fr.

>Brazil's Finance Minister Haddad: I may talk with US Treasury Secretary Bessent this week.
>>60739499yup
inflationary financing is back on the table
>>60739471its kinda funny ai can render the gayest pornos but it can't do translations right. the videos feel like black magic compared to translations which are well defined in printed dictionaries
>Brazil's Finance Minister Haddad: US levies on Brazil were implemented for political reasons.
>>60739236Whatever the fuck customers want. Spying on journalists, customers, employees, foreigners, terrorists, etc etc. Emails, social media posts, news articles, government statements and appearances, telegram and signal posts, et cetera et cetera.
>>60739255Based, make it a big eye with a magnifying glass.
>>60739261I know.
>Brazil's Finance Minister Haddad: We have never left the negotiating table with the US, and we will not do so until there is an agreement on the horizon.
>>60739331Should I toss 10k into it and see what happens? I missed out on swinging figma (figma balls lmao)
>>60739477Yes. I think we'll continue to stair step up, running through highs, followed by 31-68% corrections, rinse and repeat. Load on the dips.
>Brazil's Finance Minister Haddad: We are not working with a specific date.
>Brazil's Finance Minister Haddad: We can make cooperation agreements with the US to produce more efficient batteries, we have critical minerals and rare earths.

Otherwise buy HGRAF.
>Fed's Daly: Comfortable with the Fed's July decision, less comfortable in making that same decision again and again.

>Fed's Daly: Still a lot of uncertainty over whether a September rate cut would be appropriate.
>>60739548can he fire Fed presidents?

Great yeah, never been down this road before. Inflation has been a problem for SIX YEARS STRAIGHT, how is this so difficult for them? They have two (2) fucking numbers they have to pay attention to and they astoundingly make the wrong decision EVERY single meeting, it's statistically incredible really, that they could be wrong so many times in a row

Look at that, lmao. Less volume than the green day at the top, but 3x the % gain. BrVtal.
should i keep any cash holding sitting in a roth ira or put it all in some stable stock/etf
>>60739430>we will go down because we just have to ok?!?
>>60739666you should donate your money to the church of Satan
>>60739666having cash can be prudent, i am still bullish but the market is admittedly expensive (hence why big names like MSFT are pulling back almost immediately after spectacular earnings), BUT that doesnt mean there aren't opportunities still to buy
i had some cash ready on friday that was nice, quick +5-10% swing on those slurps, not sure if i should go back to a prudent cash position or not
if i decide to be risk averse and go back to 30% cash or something, at least i got inflation accounted for on that portion for the next year
question is how much stock/etf do you already have, and do you have a good chunk already in defensive stocks
>>60739680the US already donates plenty of money to Israel

you guys are probably gonna want to hedge
>>60739664That's because the dumps are institutional investors making an actual measured decision to de-risk on something, while all the pumping is retail investors smashing that market buy button with $100 of capital at a time
>>60739696It has truly become just a losing game. They fake jobnumbers for two months against your bets.
Then the real numbers get out, cause a 1 day dump that get reversed on the next trading day after a weekend.

>>60739649To the moon. Literally.
>>60739719exactly
retail market participation is at all time highs
>>60739739It's nothing that convoluted. It's very simple. Stock market participation is hitting new records every year. Demand is going up so prices are going up. Retail investors don't know what earnings are or how to even look them up, or any other fundamental for that matter, nor do they care. Most normies still believe "investing in a company" means giving money to that company to help them succeed or something, they literally don't even understand what's happening when they buy stock, where that stock comes from, where their money goes, or how the price is decided. How can an asset class depreciate when such an unshakeable contingent of retards has embraced it?
>>60739721thanks for playing

I don't think so lol
>>60739767Thanks for replying (one at a time)
>>60739765I agree that a lot of this rally is being driven by insane dumb retail participation
I just don't think this explains the whole thing, future (projected) US fiscal policy is certainly having an impact on asset valuations
>>60739787you're welcome anon
>>60739765>Retail investors don't know what earnings are or how to even look them up, or any other fundamental for that matter, nor do they care.ffs look at whats actually going on the big companies, they are printing money and still growing fast
look who are JUST starting to get into ai shit
there are new solutions that basically allow a company to have the same productivity with 10 people nowadays when they used to need almost 300 people (geospatial intelligence companies), or products that cost like $2m a year and save the customer >$20m per year from fraudulent claims + new revenue sources (my lovely ai dashcams), or new products that are needed agianst increasing fraud aided by ai (i bought IDN on friday for example for this, solutions that cost a customer $5m/year but protect against dozens of millions in fraud), or ai telecommunications, more and more people wont even bother outsourcing to india anymore and frankly an ai robot will prob perform better,
very simple shit, not even gonna get into ai coding or ai build-a-protein because fraankly those are a bit too farfetched imo, im focusing more on straightforward solutions that are already producing value and profit (my favourite being ai dashcams because a single vehicle with a dozen video would have quite literally millions of camera footage hours every year to monitor, eventually that applies to cctv too, ai data centers basically becomes a cheap way to achieve big brother surveillance without having to hire and pay a million humans)
i am NOT going to buy NVDA even if all the big megacaps are rushing to get data centers up and running, NVDA will still go up, maybe +30% who knows i dont care because there will be many opportunities downstream that will be going 2x or 4x by end of 2026 and ive made my bets
>>60739741Woke Liberals Melt Down Over Blah Blah Tabloid Slop Blah Blah Trump Fourth Dimensional Chess

not a good sign
>>60739471>>60739394So I ought to get at least one share of NVDA now before it breaks $200? Because I'm otherwise unable to contribute to the IRA until next year.
Why did I buy 1500 shares of DJT
>>60739831>chasing a +11% gainwtf lol there are shit that already went up +10% since friday
IWM hasnt recovered yet, the smallcaps that augment ai the best in their business are going to be going 2x-4x next year, THEN we can start talking about an ai bubble forming and even then this might just be the end of 1996 not even end of 1999 yet. People were calling the dotcom a bubble as early as 1996 but in the end it didnt even crash down back to 1996 levels when it finally started dipping from end of 1999. If you're too early you miss out on a lot
hint, if bubble pops they usually start from q4 when earnings start shitting the bed. the beautiful trick of hiding all the losses/expenses until the end of the year, i'll definitely be trimming heavily by q3 of 2026, will have to reassess how bearish to be at that point and if there's still value picks to go with
>>60739850Do you have a mirror to confirm you're a retard?

>Assume a NEET has 20k and wants to grow it as fast as possible, but will rope if there is a significant loss.
I think DIVVIEMAXING is the play for such a person but there are significant problems with yield chasing.
I think I figured out how to combat the NAV erosion problems of yieldmax
Cycling divvies from SPYI + QQQI -> ULTY -> MSTY -> ULTY -> MSTY -> SPYI + QQQI
Then periodically stopping the loop to put all the profits into schd, schg, VOO etc. A stock with either dividend growth or share price growth.
The NEET won't need to worry about tax and the overall portfolio will grow despite the NAV erosion.
I feel like you can snowball 20k into 100k pretty quick and relatively risk controlled in 2-5 years.
If tax is a concern, you only pay it once a year.
So just pull 5% or so a month after it starts properly paying out.

>>60740297selling covered calls limits your upside and doesnt protect your downside.
when you reinvest the divs you were better off buying SPY vs SPYI
>>60740308Because instead of dripping into the eroding YM stocks you're putting the yield into spyi and qqqi that maintain NAV much better. ULTY pays weekly, msty has about double the yield of qqqi etc so it should be a net positive cycle.
The real maintenance comes from buying proper growth/divvie growth/btc.
This keeps ulty and msty fed so they keep the gibs going while NAV and payout inevitability decrease, but your portfolio won't be net negative like it would be if you were only yield chasing.
A 20k starter should grow exponentially in a few years with this.
>>60740304which raises the real question, what exactly does intel do again ?
They should have just let the jesus freak finish cooking the last time. This guy seems like he is just out to garage sale assets .

Greater than half of all this growth is just due to product price increases or the presidents favorite punching back likes to call it "inflation."

>>60740328spyi and qqqi will go down if the market goes down. they just dont go up when the market goes up.
>>60740327You're not wrong, but spyi gives a 10+% yield which you need to keep the engine going. You can buy SPY to maintain portfolio value over time using the divvies.

>>60740324Is your plan to publish on the web or are you trying to get a deal with Image or Dark Horse or some other indie publisher?
I don't know how hard it is to get a publishing deal in comics but if you can score that it'll be a LOT easier to license to Amazon. Webcomics would obviously give you way more creative control, although a webcomic author I follow has mentioned recently that she's pulling back on nudity a bit to avoid getting trouble from Mastercard. Not that her stuff had tons of nudity in it, but she doesn't want to risk her income over something fairly inconsequential.
>>60740362Because you're still getting your principle eroded. You haven't addressed that. If you really want to invest in this yieldslop you should just accept it's going to zero and try to ride it out for a few months.
>>60740374Thats not what I'm doing. CC fund cycles into ulty which cycles into msty, amplifying the output.
>>60740356if they came out with 1.5nm ahead of competitors they could get all the contracts for apple, samsung and even AMD. They would have legitimate upgrade in technology. Coupled with tariffs they could have made out like gang busters. Now they will just stripped and sold for assets. What an ignominious end for a true American blue chip
>>60740344>you need the worse plan to fund another worse plangood luck
>>60740358you would have more money owning QQQ. its the same as the SPY discussion.
>>60740324>Keep working my jobdont just work the job, try to maximize it or get a different one if necessary. You may want to stick it out until your are vested, but make you learn and understand what that means in your case, and what if any retirement benefits you have or may qualify for (401k, matching contributions, free medical after 20 years, really anything that is listed as potentially available) and figure out how to maximize it for your situation. Do they pay for school or training, what promotional opportunities are there. Sometimes one pay raise (and keeping your expenses low) allows you to save a lot more faster and if you can invest tax free in a good ETF you will be surprised how fast you can start getting some financial security.

>>60740376the problem is the same, your principle will continue to errode, and market volatility will destroy your "cycling".
you are better off gambling, rather than trying to perfectly time multiple exits from multiple positions. your MSTY holding could half over a short amount of time. Are you going to keep holding until you are back to where you started? becuase if you bought msty at 32 in feb you are still waiting 5 months later. >>60740376look at the all time return on any yield max shit fund, they're shit. they're all shit and shilled here for some reason. the only stable divvies that exist are in the form of boomer funds like schd, vym, hell even the dia
>>60740418In not exiting anything I am using the divvies to buy.
>msty could halfIt will erode but not half. YM funds rugpull initial investors but if you get in "late" the price is much more stable.
Compare ulty over the last 6 months vs the last 12.
The erosion is addressed by feeding it with spyi.
All of these funds have laddered yields so its being amplified.
>>60740406https://imagecomics.com/submissions
I'd consider looking into this.
>>60740425schd is a piece of shit that needs a 20 year hold.
YM is bad when its over 50% of your portfolio and youre dripping into it.
If you use the payout as fuel it works.
>>60740428Needs $750,000 to payout maybe $25,000 a year!
I want it. Donโt have it.
Itโs an after you made it play. SCHD
>>60740436Boomers like it because of the divvie growth and tax status.
Its not a bad hold, just not an income play.
>>60740420>should I work every one of those when available? It depends on how you are taxed for overtime, it might be better to get another job, just take the time to figure out what is best. If in the US I recall Trump said something about not taxing overtime, I don;t know the status of that, but also check your local authorities for what taxes they charge. Talk to shop steward and the HR person, get copies of everything you can read it over. Yes, the principal erodes. But the payout per share is insane. The whole point is to get the divvie and maintain the overall principal of your portfolio.

Check the GDX closing price and watch gold futures. HUI is at 449.96. It's happening.
If you have two growth ETFs such as QQQ and VUG that practically mirror each other when you compare their charts why would you pick QQQ when it has an expense ratio of 0.2 and yield of 0.48 while VUG is at .04 and 0.43 yield.
Are there other factors that I need to consider or does any of this actually matter?
>>60740604you should pick vug. if you were day trading or dealing in very large size, you should pick qqq because it has better liquidity. it's possible you may have to pay more because of bad bid/ask spread on vug as well, but vanguard funds are pretty liquid, but not as suitable for trading as qqq. if you just want to invest a small sum your best bet is a limit order on vug in this case.
