I think elites want the power of smart contracts to benefit them but hate the idea of having to follow the same rules. I've thought through that side of things as well. The applications of this could all be very positive - being able to choose ratios for where your tax dollars go towards certain government agencies, or voting on projects that your local council should undertake. Things like that would be ideal.

This is what makes me pessimistic though. They'll try to find ways around it. They're working together to play a game that has been passed down through generations at the top while Whites in Western countries are generally more atomized and individualistic, and generally lack collective self-interest at this stage... but at least we're waking up a bit.
