Vitalik doesn't care about the price, he's an autist who cares more about the development of the network. Since he is worth hundreds of millions of dollars in Ethereum and doesn't spend very much of it, I doubt he ever will care.

I think he got disillusioned desu that this was all a scam. If you remember the old days he bought hard into OMG and thought they would scale ETH bland muh Thailand on the block chain of whatever.
