Inherited $130k. How should I invest it to maximize returns and honor my dad’s memory by making max gains? Was thinking of doing 60% in VTI and 40% in IBIT. Thoughts?

Kek. I have a friend who has that problem. But her male best friend is gay, the soft fat tall variety. I quite like him. Anyways, I'd say put 20 or 30% in a mix of new robotics stocks, or humanoid and robotics weaponry indices. In 10 to 15, these things will be in every household and policing the planet.

Actually good point, might be worth it but wouldn’t VTI cover that somewhat?

You could also do 15% in that and search for another one or two emerging industries, I don't know what else, maybe some energy suppliers with unique positions, powerline building or something.

Anyways, if you have some employment for the coming years (doctor, other form of lobby protected bullshit, niche tradie with high motor skills, entrepreneur with business with high initial special hardware costs or legal hurdles etc.), you can risk a bit more. If you are a direct AI victim, the primary task at hand is to keep a daily income from wagie jobs, any kind of jobs, not needing to cash out from that inheritance.

I’m actually an entrepreneur with a non-meme AI business in edtech, so trying to be as aggressive as possible since it’s not make or break $ for me.

Use that money to start a multi-million dollar business.

Cornelius Vanderbilt made his fortune starting with a $100 loan from his grandmother.

With $130k you can build an empire in your lifetime. Do not fuck this up.

sounds pretty spot-on
worth considering self custody of the btc too, could use some of the money for a hardware wallet, good seed phrase storage, and maybe even a shitty cheap laptop dedicated to the wallet
sorry for your loss anon

Invest 10% of that in UTK, wait until it 100X and you are good.

hilarious bad advice. If you have no business experience, you will squander that $130k almost guaranteed. Starting business is hard, and worth dedicating your life to learning how to do. Don't bet a ton of money on your first business since it will likely fail.

If you're interested in business, take $1000 and try something. Pick an idea and stick with it for ~3 months.

In the mean time, you can stick that $130k in an index fun and let actual Harvard MBAs and Silicon Valley tech execs work their little fingers to the bone to make you (the sharehold) as much money as possible. Every morning when they kiss their hot wife goodbye, hop in their Porsche, and drive into the office, they're going to work for you.
