>i don't understand, why are you threatening to quit?
>i gave you a 2.7% raise and inflation is only 2.4% so that's pretty good.
>like i said, you'll get a promotion and another 5% raise if you can learn how to do literally everything.
>your pay is competitive, i can't give you any more money without additional responsibilities.
>your health insurance is $800/month but that is also competitive, things are expensive.
>you're quitting? you NEED to give me 2 weeks notice.

Not for me. I give extra perks and listen to the needs of people who are valuable to me. Because they're valuable to me. Notice how I used the word people. Of course, I'm also batshit crazy.

I honestly don't know why wagies tolerate it. I'd literally rather be homeless living in some constructed tin hut than deal with such a humiliation ritual.

I don't know what's worse, delusional avgas-huffing small biz owners like you're describing, or trade/technician fags in miserable careers like MEP engineering who work 90 hours a week doing soul crushing, body ruining bullshit to barely break $120k and walk around like fucking jeff bezos about it lmao. "Yeah, I work hard, but I'm also frickin ROLLING IN DOUGH." They always use these effeminate ass bloviating euphemisms to describe how much money they make instead of giving you an actual number, and if they do give a decent number they'll never tell you the chink-tier hours they work. All for the moral license to act like mike rowe lmfao

non union: take their $, cut it in half, and divide by like 2800 hours. usually ends up being like $30/hour at the absolute most.
union: they probably make good money on an hourly basis but they usually lie and include their pension/healthcare numbers in their hourly rate.

Not sure where you are getting these numbers but this is how I reverse engineered your equation. You said $30/h is good. Ok. Times that by the 2800 hours you mentioned. $84k. Times that by 2 you said. $168k per year?! That seems way too high for a non-union tradesman but ok.

When I was an employee I gave it my all and was often abused by psychopath managers.

When I started my business I considered myself a very good boss. Very lax. None of the time to lean time to clean bullshit. Just do these tasks please. Paid well. Made a very nice environment. The result? Employees who were absolute shit and took advantage of my kindness and basically forced me to micromanage them and ride their ass about everything.

People suck.

>you're quitting? you NEED to give me 2 weeks notice.
The only time I've been fired/laid-off I went in and learned I no longer had a job, no severance or anything. I will not be giving 2-weeks notice ever again unless I absolutely need them as a reference.
