I normally want to work by generating a set of signals over some data, then analyze those signals under various regimes, look for correlations, etc before deciding entry/exit signals so I'm baking this workflow into a template.

workflows are so open ended though it's hard to do one size fits all, but the UI part is for non-power users and I think this would be mostly what they want to do.
