Asking for real, is there anything that can save INTCels at this point?
A chipmaker that lost 50% of its value in one of the largest sector bullruns in history, literally Trillions in opportunities wasted, like a vendor failing to sell shovels during the California goldrush, somehow someway.
If Xi atomizes TMC headquarters with an ICBM tomorrow, would INTC even go up by 10%?

Germany needs the war to continue because on one hand defense corps are the last bandaid on their imploding economy and on the other hand they're unable to reconcile with Russia because the US-owned assets in the legislature have sabotaged domestic energy production so they can wring every last shekel out of the country with LNG until it finally turns into a failed state and take rhe EU down with it.

tldr. will go up again, but you need a 3-5 year exit strategy.

This is the big issue with AI. No one is responsible if an AI fucks up. Therefore, AI can't be trusted to act autonomously; it must be supervised.

Even on an easier level than that. Unless you're one of the vibe coding millennial retards working for a tech company, actual development requires test results and documentation.

Like put it this way. If you had an AI make food how could you tell if the food was good? You'd taste it. Anyone can taste it.
So how do you know if the AI created something good for software? How do you know its pulling the right records and not fucking up something? You'd need someone who knows the code well and the system and the user requirements

i.e. a software engineer

Yeah, this is also true. AI is a black box and companies that rely on that black box are in for a rude awakening when they realize they don't know how to maintain jack shit.
You can ask the AI to write documentation for you but if you can't read the code yourself you won't know if the documentation is even correct.

This. Nothing goes into production if it isn't tested, documented, approved by the N+1, refucking approved again by [whoever that is in that department], re-refucking approved again. And then, maybe after 2 months of stamped papers that prove you've checked everything AND you're the one fucking responsible (the most important part, and the reason of all that paperwork circus in the first place), it may go into production.

I held TSLA puts over the weekend because of the news that they lost that lawsuit. Ended up losing $300 because everyone was bullish after Elon diluted shares to give himself a bonus. Call it a top signal or whatever you want but you have to admit the stock market game has changed. Up until 2010 trading and investing were completely out of reach of the public besides passive 401k investing. You would pay 100 usd commission for a buy order back then, not to mention you had to physically call your broker. Imagine trying to do a trailing stop loss back then.

The combination of extremely easy trading with apps, 0 commissions and many people becoming millionaires with crypto has shifted the balance from hedgies to retail. If you want proof, compare the dip of april to August 1. It was the same algorithmically driven dump only the second time it dropped 1% instead of like 7%. The reality is that retail now has assets and they are not selling. They dont care about valuations and PE ratios and jew bullshit, we all want to make money and right now we all are. This is also without considering the billions of Indians placing billions of fractional share market orders to make 20 bucks.

Basically, stocks will never go down (significantly) again. Invest in HOOD and webull.

I have two positions open, one is for a strike price of $100 and the other is $80. I think I just want to close the $100 position today. The $80 I'm not sure about. It feels like options for September or October are quite expensive because, obviously, the number is going down. I can just take the gains instead.

I'm working on a strategy builder UI, does this make intuitive sense to you? I think more color contrast could be helpful, but I'm trying to dial in the `geometry` or whatever you'd call the shape of the actual display and workflow. I normally want to work by generating a set of signals over some data, then analyze those signals under various regimes, look for correlations, etc before deciding entry/exit signals so I'm baking this workflow into a template.

workflows are so open ended though it's hard to do one size fits all, but the UI part is for non-power users and I think this would be mostly what they want to do.

The DCA strategy sucks when they move the market like this now. It feels like their goal is to shake us off and pump it hard so we get left holding not a single share or option.

For that reason, yes but you can take your time just don't take too long before they brand you as too risky to hire due to being able to neet long periods of time without waging.

Now if I had $500k I would not being going back to the wagecage. Number is big enough for me to work with to not wage short term (10 years) and see where I can get. If after 10 years that $500k isn't at least $1m (meaning I made money plus 10 years living costs), then maybe its time to go back into the wagecage.

You know that statistically speaking you can't beat the market, so all this, /smg/ in general, is just an elaborate hobby. Regular people with consistent income simply dca into ETFs. You can beat that if you're willing to take risks, but the time and effort needed to give yourself an edge is absolutely not worth it unless you're managing a huge portfolio and have low income, such as being the benificiary of a large inheritance.

In 2020 the bottom was like March/April but iirc it varied between stocks, by late 2020 I recall many stocks I watched being significantly higher than they were in March/April, in fact SPY was back to ATHs by July 2020. Not even a full year passed before it got all the way back up. Now what about 2008? ATH at the time was in 2007. November 2008 had a low price, bottom was early 2009. November 2008 to May 2009 had low prices. Rereaching ATH? Early 2013. Look at the covid dump, nowhere near the same. The accumulation period was extremely short which I believe has to do with their strange fear of the market crashing and bailing it out if they can.

It eventually went bankrupt and the snake oil man ran away with a nice chunk of money. Apparently Lyten has bought the remaining assets.

I don't know really. It needs a gigaton of energy to function and the greens have cucked our nuclear for a long time so I doubt we'll be getting up new plants in time for this factory. So if it is going to run then we are looking at higher electricity bills I guess.
Though most of our hydro power is in the North where this thing is being built, so the ones getting cucked the most are the southerners.
Then there is the question of; "Is the only benefit to an electricity based factory the fact that it is better for the environment?" in which case I see a rough path ahead in terms of profits.

In the technicalities, VAT affects every single stage of the supply chain, tariffs affect the final good on import based on its origin and value. Theres more ways to skirt tariffs than there are VAT. So yes VAT is more evil, but you could argue their government is generating more revenue for social services than the US where you're on your own unless you're deeply impoverished or elderly.

>In 2024, the US produced about seven times more goods and services than it imported, with total production at $29.2 trillion compared to $4.1 trillion in imports. This means for every dollar of imports, the US produces slightly over $7
So let's say we got Trump's retard 25% tariff, as a whole for all goods the consumer would be impacted only a seventh of that so 3.57% of all GDP is taxes on average by this

Compared to the VAT in Europe which is essentially all goods and services, since they also apply it to services.

Like if we look at this from a CPI inflation perspective, and overwhelming majority of that is internal and not effected by tariffs. Meanwhile the VAT would apply to everything and hit inflation.
