>>60755145the whole industry is filled with snake oil salesmen, cult of personality types. Charles Hoskinson, Craig Wright, this guy, etc. Even at lower level shitcoins it's rampant. As someone who sees through that bullshit instantly, and then started working in crypto, it was a real head trip to see everyone around me including VCs and lots of wealthy people eating it up. Some people I guess just have some sort of charisma that I can't see but I have to acknowledge exists because I've seen the effects of it.
They are usually just intelligent enough to string a good buzzword salad together but far from intelligent enough to really understand important concepts. Most of the guys like this I met did not really have any clue where the crypto industry was going. I never met Charles but it's not surprising to see him having no fucking clue about Chainlink and then all of a sudden being like "wait umm maybe Chainlink is really important". These guys have no real business experience or know-how and they certainly do not comprehend the large value props of crypto/blockchain so they're completely unaware as to what critical infrastructure is going to be. Very much like retail, they follow the dumb narratives around "muh sound money", "muh decentralize the world", etc. They are too stupid to get that in a global capitalist world money talks bullshit walks and you need to follow the things that will drive the most profits.
