Ultimately they're not wrong. One day all of this crypto shit will collapse 99%.

I am saying this as someone who spends 16 hours a day on Crypto for the past 5 years.

I am trying my hardest to make it here so I can leave and go buy some rental property. I know in 10-20 years time, rental property will still be here and slowly growing, where as crypto has a very high chance of all eventually going to zero.

All of the "safe" investors who bought investment property instead will be the ones who will be saying "I TOLD U SO"

The question isn't a matter of if, it's a matter of when, do we get another 5 years of crypto gambling? another 10 years? 15 years? 20 years?

For my own sake I hope it keeps going, because im not ready yet

10 to 15 year bear market
the gfc was 1.5 years peak to through, that was the gfc where banks were falling like dominoes and people thought the entire global transfer of value was about to have a cardiac arrest due to counter party risk

meanwhile every financial crisis possible short of the actual end of the world would see a mass recovery due to the use of a transfer of value with no counter party
in the worst crisis event possible btc in ones own wallet is the key to restarting the world

Nothing in crypto has secured long term real world usage, the whole industry is insanely myopic. Until there is actual adoption of it (tokenized stocks for example), there is no guarantee it will survive the future.

I kick myself for not investing in BTC but recent government approval of crypto and genius act legitimately feel like a trap. Fundamentally it should be bullish for btc given it tends to trend up with the stablecoin market cap but why should it? Utility coins are not providing value or not reflecting the value added in price. It all feels increasingly hollow as association with the dollar and adoption by hedge funds increases. It's correlation to us equities should only be growing from this which is a loaded gun held by microstrategy aimed at everything. Parallels to gold are growing and that's a concern. Gold trends in part with the dollar and the market, to a degree. When 2008 hit gold got liquidated with everything else to cover margin and only decoupled at the bottom. If BTC takes such a path it could have far more lingering consequences particularly given localization of btc holders relative to the broader market.

Only three more years and Bitcoin will have existed for 20 YEARS without any real use case or real world adoption for cryptocurrency being found. In fact 10 years ago there was more actual use for it because of websites like PokerShibes or DirectBet that are sadly gone now.
I'm saying this as someone who bought in 2013, cashed out six figures and is still sitting on six figures worth.

What is the most likely reason for “clickbait” phrasing in an OP in this shithole?
Autist desperate for (Yous)? Jeet paid per reply? Some third option?

Tell the Redditt genius- no shit, we know its going to crash. That's why you take profits. I just assume this is a 1999-style tech bubble because that's how innovation advances. Crypto WILL crash, then I will go into nuclear stocks until it recovers.

Ah yes, “Bitcoin only went up because everything went up.” Truly groundbreaking. While we wait for your hypothetical 10–15 year bear market to vindicate you, BTC survived multiple 80% drawdowns, recovered to new highs, keeps settling billions in value daily, and has a fixed supply that central banks can’t print. But you’re right—any day now, it’ll go to zero because… vibes and bonds.
