Any CEX that’s worth a shit are going the way of “decentralization”. They will integrate a wallet into their apps and collect fees on all the shit that’s traded on there. Unlike a traditional cex listing, it’s risk free. They know that if they were to buy large bags of any token, it would immediately dump. The dynamics of the space have changed from back then and they are aware of that.

Without any sort of backing by any of the big players in the space, avi will continue being what it is. Of course stixil will believe that they are already successful, but his overzealous approach to everything isn’t helping at all. When was the last time any announcement they made have any impact on the project? I don’t know what V2 will bring but that’s still way ahead of us and who knows what the market conditions / narrative will be by the time it’s released.

That’s kinda how I see it too. Let’s say this cycle follows the previous ones where eth pumps and money from that flows into alts. Will avi even in a position to capture interest? We'll see it still requires at least some sort of institutional support. Ideally V2 will get some sort of institutional adoption and be part of web3 infrastructure going forward. Even 0.1% of the market would be significant. But it depends on these connections.

Most Normal people won't use a bridge or if they use one they won't actively be looking for one. The real bridging volume is in being integrated with other apps and being the backend of easy to use user services. Ideally people should be using it without even knowing what skybridge is.

I do think there is value in making cross chain transactions easy, cheep and fast.

So do other top companies out there. Avi has always been at least 3 steps behind everyone else. By the time v1 was released, there were plenty of other cross chain bridges out there that everyone was already familiar with. According to stixil, V2 should be ready around Q4 of this year (ie. Q1/Q2 of 2026). Who knows what the market will look like by then.

I want to like avi but at the end of the day people here need to be realistic about the situation. Avi should have stuck to being an arcade project and focusing on that but they insist on thinking they can build a bridge that can compete with the 8+ figure companies out there. It’s retarded
