So uhh.... What do you, like, DO with money?

As you can see, I have never had any, and now I have plenty.

What now? Really the best thing I can do with this money is let it keep growing in the way that it has. I've de-risked along the way from -$40k above $250k, although there were points there I was incredibly highly leveraged there and you can see those too.

But what can I do now? I have a basic office job for $72,500, pays my bills. I'm set for cars. What should I DO now?

If you don't know the fucking basics the chance of you being scammed is pretty high.
Otherwise there's whores that speak English and usually they make it clear on their public profiles (in places where prostitution is legalized).

Change your goal rather than your lifestyle. Keep investing. Don't spend unless it brings actual benefit to you and your family.
Home school your kids on financial responsibility. Look beyond just your retirement, to the well being of your children's children.
Choose legacy over fleeting pleasure. Propagate rather than being another dead end on the tree of life.

It's more like this, I started with my early life's savings of maybe $20-30k-ish saved from working part time through community college living rent free at home. At my Boring First Big Boy Job I got into the app and kept gambling it away on retarded meme stocks and options gambles (having no clue how either work).
For a while I left it alone, in the pandemic I was excited because I was like "world shut down = stocks are bad = buy puts!" and we see how that went.
Lowest point it ever hit was lower than this screenshot actually, ultimately $41k lost, portfolio value at the time was like 4k.

Ultimately at some point while schizophrenically high on thc vape in the midst of the pandemic I bought 5 shares of PLTR at $18 because it was a meme stock but Peter Thiel was involved and I'd understood a bit about his investing philosophy and also he's creepy and evil in a very 4chan way. It got me paying attention. It had a really weird little arc that led to the stock being like 6 bucks a share and I bought it all the way down with, ultimately, every dollar of leverage my poorfolio could get its hands on cuz I just kept buying. Ultimately I held 2750 at average $9 per share and sold off all the leverage between $10-11, held 1000 shares steadily for a few years while the stock crabbed and then it stopped crabbing, and I sold half the shares to buy short-dated calls in advance of earnings and that was the big exponential boom there. Now that money is in LEAPs hoping to never pay short term capital gains ever again.

Basically this. Investing is currently an arms race to get to made-it comfy levels of wealth before AI obsolesces all jobs. Don't slack off, don't get distracted, don't spend it on a lambo. You need to get to (your annual living expenses x 30) net worth so you can maintain a decent life on a safe withdrawal rate of your portfolio while growing the principal forever. If you don't cross this finish line in time, you're going to get relegated to a UBI commie block, or possibly just mowed down by autonomous drones. If you do cross it, then you can afford to move to the citadel and pay the basilisk's tithe to live eternally in comfort above the clouds.

that was my plan initially, a single solid business was going to be my passive savings account. The thing about the Thiel thing is that it's actually anti-diversification, it's about specialization and then supercapitalizing on individual prime opportunities. IDK where I even got the sense for that but it's why going all in on winner and majorly doubling-down on the gain once the momentum started to tip, that's all kinda within the ethos.

Dude I lost my life's savings and then more life's savings trying to unsuccessfully bail out the first life savings. I was hanging drywall at the time, dude, painting houses and shit. And I lost it all on stupid shit for years where I just kept, shit, workin' and NOT checking my portfolio cuz what difference would it make? So of course I would tell people hey, stay away from derivatives! Thank God I wasn't into leverage! Kids, just buy SPY forever! Learn from my $40k mistake! Years of my life just workin, grindin, nothing to show for it. I guess by luck or chance or some savvy on my part it finally paid off.

You won't be able to do it all in one shot with 320k but you could get the snowball rolling pretty well and could quit your day job as it is and day trade as your first LLC under the umbrella. You could easily afford to create your own money management company and take clients with what you have and use that to grow the web. Once you have money you realize it's just a tool to obtain assets and knowledge, which are the sources of real wealth and power.

Yeah RH makes accessing cash pretty easy. I'm actually hoping if this trend continues I should have enough to be able to buy my apartment outright cash without having to sell anything. Good stocks have a 25-30% margin maintenance requirement, so technically like if this was all in equities (and by equities I mean PLTR or SPY) I'd be able to withdraw like $200k straight cash and hold that as margin at like 5.25-5.75% interest currently. I mean that's a solid mortgage rate in 2025. If I need to access that capital just refi it into a cash-out mortgage at a higher appraised value.

Thing is about 1/3rd of all that is stock, the rest is options (again, 2027-dated LEAPs I can cash out at LTCG around next April). But for the moment, the outsized returns on those calls is worth not necessarily having access to those funds at the moment.

You're in the boring middle. Thats the time between when you get some money and when you have enough to retire.

What you do is worry less now about investing and focus on improving your daily life in every other aspect. Basically get better at the things you've been ignoring when you were trying to get rich.

I donate much of my disposable income to charity. I make way more than I need, so it feels natural to use the rest to help the world become a better place.
The average selfish chud is probably going to ridicule this notion, but the fact is that there is no shorter road to true honor and glory than giving.

to answer your q "what do you do?"
I'm having a kid soon so money is a means for:
1. A new house (current home will work for a while but not forever)
2. Guarantee an easier/better life for my kid than I had
3. Upgrade the second car (luxury, nice to have, won't do this until I'm totally comfortable or it needs to be done)

Otherwise I make a comfortable amount in my salarycuck software engineering job to go on yearly international vacations + smaller trips around the country + buy videogames + go to concerts/events/eat at restaurants a couple times a week + buy nicer but non-flashy high quality clothes, and still save a good chunk of cash to throw in lower risk investments (got a sizable crypto position already which is enough fun for me)

IMO, general advice, delay your gratification. Keep stacking. Don't fucking tell anyone close to you how much you have because you might fuck up a relationship. When the time comes where you really want/need money you'll be ready.

You came into this money quick, dont be a retard and lose it quick.

Im basically the same situation as you. I have a house and could pay it off easily but my rate is in the 3% range so even 4 week tbills make more sense than paying off the mortgage. What I'm focused on now is paying off debt while living off my job and letting my money make money. This all plays into early retirement and chillin. I'd suggest you do the same anon. Make enough to pay your way out of slavery and along the way pick up some hobbies to keep you busy and make some side cash when you retire early. I like making liqour and fucking with guns, computers and wood working. Fuck the system anon. If I can get out so can you.

Go to a strip club. Since we are in a quiet recession most places have reduced prices and the women are genuinely desperate for money (the only way they make money is if you buy a dance from them, club pays nothing and stage dances dont pay shit). They will make you feel like a fucking king.

Not all girls and clubs are the same, just go to a few different places and have fun, no one cares or will judge you.

yeah I agree that's part of why my goal is to put maybe half of it into real estate via margin lending, getting a foot in on places that well be evergreen-valuable as development in my city continues.

Turns out my condo building has a different unit for sale that's currently rented and I feel like buying the neighbors' apartment and just collecting the cashflow for a while at mortgage-rate interest. Meanwhile I pay rent to my landlord until I can buy his place too.

I'm confident in my portfolio's performance in the coming year but I wonder if there'll be a time in the coming years where being able to just swing $200k worth of cash around like a sledgehammer gets a lot done.

I've worked in property management and seen apartments in my area that could have been purchased, only in cash, but if purchased in cash a HUGE immediate benefit. Like, the kitchen was demoed and restored just to bare walls and plumbing/electrical connections obv. Nobody could get a mortgage for it and the price was ridiculous, cash purchase + chump change in reno costs for a basic kitchen could then be immediately mortgaged for like 160% of the purchase price. What ACCESS to $90k could have done for me as late as 2022, even, much less access to a liquid $200k. But such is life. I just keep waiting for something awesome to pop up and it's been boring lately.
