No, the contempt for money was a misunderstanding you picked up in childhood and never realized it.
You're not supposed to not want money.
You're supposed to grow and assert yourself and play the human game.
The rich ARE bigger and DO have more resources, and people know their position and treat big things with respect.
When you played dress up, you put on a lie that DOES fool people, because they don't know you're lying.
You're not supposed to make your entire identity "I have big number" because you squander yourself when you do that. Doesn't mean you're supposed to avoid participating in life.

Same thing for me except when it comes to fitness. I was a nobody when I was a skeleton, now that I put on 20 lbs of muscle, people treat me much differently. I'm treated with respect and people actually want to talk to me.
