i've always just assumed savings includes equity/assets, I think the average normie would call their 401k "savings".
after you save your first 10-20k you'd probably start getting into investing, like cash savings over 20k shouldn't even happen unless you're just slowly averaging into assets

Assuming "net worth" is calculating home ownership, vehicles and all assets, id believe that. Most people in their 20s and 30s are renters and lease vehicles instead of buying. Especially if theyre making good money in a city somewhere, theyre more than likely renting and may not even own a car.
As for the ones making less money in the rest of the country, they are also renters and also lease or own an old vehicle.
Most people in both classes of this age group aren't collecting assets, the money is getting sent to the people who own what they use.

The reason all Americans over the age of 25 aren’t millionaires is meme degree student loans, car loans, premature pregnancies, getting kicked out by boomer parents at 18, and being too scared/stupid to invest

They have the highest salaries in the world with very low taxes. It’s easy as god damn fuck to just put half your monthly paycheck into investments (full time will be at least 1k a month working some crap job and 2-3k getting into a decent one

Even if you work at Walmart at 18 by the time you’re 25 you’ll be making at least 6k a month and if you tried to get promoted maybe even 8k. (Fucking servers alone make 4-5k a month easy) at that point you can save 5-6k a month that’s an annual salary for high-end Europeans every year.

It’s impossible to fail in America unless you’re stubborn AND retarded

I moved to the USA when o was 25 and worked for Costco, made it to a supervisor role after 7 months which put me at 31 an hour at the time, now 35 but I got bumped to manager of my department so now it’s 9k a month, I have no education, no kids yet. And just shy of 500k in investments

I’m going to keep working here until I’m 50, by then me and my fiancé will have bought at a minimum 3 properties and I’ll rent two of them to pay for all 3, when my kids (we want 2) have either finished their college degrees or gotten a job I’ll let them move into one of the properties rent-free.

I won’t retire outright but to the point that i can be at home with the kids as much as possible, and obviously only when we are set enough that my wife can do the same if she wants to

The American dream is literally just don’t be retarded and put in the effort

Around 9% (this is increasing as the Gen X'ers pay off their debts and max out their 401k accounts). For most of them a significant chunk of their net worth is from the value of their home, which is not a terribly liquid asset. The percentage of the US population that are liquid millionaires is less than 2%.

Liquid net worth doesn't include your 401k or IRA if you're younger than 59.5, nor does it include the value of your business if you own one, nor does it include the value of your house or vehicles. So yeah 2% to 10% is actually reasonable. My current net worth is just over $1M so I'm in that 10%, but my liquid net worth is only $600k so I'm not in that 2%. But in a year and a half I'll turn 59.5 and get access to all my 401k and IRA accounts and my liquid net worth will jump to just over $5M.

A million is fucking nothing, the stock markets are serious money not playtime like your little digital toys. Even the quintessential buy-it-and-hold-it-till-you-die funds like SCHD could handle your measly $1M without a problem, SCHD does about $430M in trading volume per day. It's mainly a hedge against inflation.
It won't make you rich, but it will prevent the government from devaluing your net worth via inflation and money printing.

A hot chick thats legitimately good at the job working at a high end place is easily cracking $100k/year. I managed these restaurants for a few years. And thats only whats on the restaurant books. Alot of these girls have guys throwing money at them just for pictures of one boob

I still remember 12 years ago listening to the radio and some lady won $1k from some call in contest and she was freaking out. And even back then I was like damn $1k really is life changing money to most people. I mean, not actually life changing since they just blow it all on dumb shit, but you know what I mean

Most waitresses don't work at high end places. Most are working at mid-tier restaurants that serve the average Joe who tips like $10. And usually people who get paid in tips don't even accurately keep track of their income, and tend to greatly overestimate it.

You really see how retarded they are with auto loans and car choices. Niggers will buy a car that is $80,000 at like 15% instead of just getting something reliable for $20,000.

People are bad at math and get severely punished for it.

>25k in bank. 50/50 split between checking and savings.
if this is supposed to be a cash position for buying pullbacks, surely you'd want that in a money market fund in your brokerage account. because right now you'd have to wait a day or two to withdraw from your savings account.
even moving from your checking into brokerage is a bit annoying.
mm fund, in schwab at least, you can sell and instantly have the money on hand.
