I want to buy $1,000 worth of pure silver coins.
Really just because I think it would be cool to own a lot of silver coins.

Pure silver does not oxidize. Silver alloys oxidize.

Do you want to constantly clean the tarnish off of that many silver coins?

I actually have no idea whatsoever about actually keeping silver coins
Do you have to store them in a certain way?

There's two main ways to store them, tubes that can hold 10 or 20 (the bullion dealer will usually include this for free if you ordered a bunch)
Theres also individual coin cases which could be better for displaying cool designs. You can buy on amazon.

Some coins with cool designs might cost 200% normal spot price, because they're considered rare numismatics.
If you want to get maximum ounces of silver, you might need to settle for the "weekly deals" or get coins with boring designs.
I personally go for value weight 90% of the time and special coins 10%. That way I have good stockpile of coins, with just a few cool ones for display.

It tarnishes from sulfur, not oxygen.

Very based. I will warn you now that if you have a soul and are not a total NPC it WILL become an addiction, and you will NOT be able to stop stacking.
