Thing is people just have a natural nose for money, and people with money go wafting it around trying to catch others on the scent.
And then they go on about trying to get little pieces of it. By flattery and convenience and warmth and love or whatever the hell else. Rich guys foster the idea that they might break off a piece at any time, even though they never do.
Thing is what you have to be is clearly unswayed by those false promises (this will be the first distinguishing feature) because you know better. Then what you need is a specialized skill. You don't wait for a dusting of crumbs to fall off, you show up with a hammer and a chisel to take a real meaningful piece of it.

>They obviously don't help you- do you look at all people with the mindset of "how can this person help me?" or "what can I take from this person?"
To an extent, yes, and that's how rich people operate, and it's actually how they expect you to operate. Rich people walk around all day every day thinking "Can this person help me?" and if the answer is no, to hell with them.
The correct way to look at a rich person is "How can this person help me?" and if the answer is no, TO HELL WITH THEM.
