So what does it matter that Btc is limited to 21M? There can be as much 'paper bitcoin' as you want, unlike gold, nobody gives a fuck about the real digital thing.

Where does the money even come from? I get spot btc, people buy, people sell, simple, but perp futures? And it's not even futures, it's the same as the current price o_O

Don't futures contracts come with the expectation that the underlying WILL be delivered to you if you don't take action necessary to liquidate the assets to cash first? Just saying, people trade futures on gold without ever wanting to actually acquire the gold because it's hard to store. BTC doesn't have this problem since it's digital... I would think there are futures traders that would actually want to receive the underlying BTC which I think prevents (((them))) from flooding the market with paper BTC contracts like they do with boomer rocks.

I know but that's largely a consequence of the people trading them don't actually want the underlying (where are they going to store literal tons of gold or silver or corn or whatever the fuck physical commodity?). It's easy to store BTC though so I bet more futures traders would elect to just receive the BTC which I think makes it less prone to manipulation.
