MSFT, GOOG, and META reported record earnings though. AI is helping them cut headcount and be more productive at a minimum. METAs targeted ads got much more valuable with AI.

I agree. While the AI bubble is indeed real, it's not a valueless proposition like detractors make it out to be. I see this period of low-to-no revenue as drug dealers giving out samples to their customers. Once everyone's addicted, then they make us pay for it. And when zoomies literally can't even work a search engine without an LLM directing them, they'll buy subscriptions.

These companies will find out in 5 years that AI can't progress fast enough to replace senior devs, and replacing junior devs means they're not making any more senior devs.
All the short-term gains made by firing people will be more than made up for by the inflated senior dev salaries in the future.
But due to how business incentives are structured, it won't be the next quarter's profit's problem so it literally doesn't matter

Unless the quality of code generation significantly improves, senior devs can't go "looks good to me" to an AI agent PR the same way they can for a junior dev's.
This means that they have to expend effort into reading through AI-generated slop, which doesn't really save them more time in the end.
If you're working on critical code, you're not going to trust slop code without at least having a person look into it first.

I've been saving and finally have enough to buy a house. Do I? Is it going to crash in value?
I understand basic economics (inflation, supply/demand, etc.) as well as slightly nuanced layman shit like sub-prime lending bubbles, etc.

Was planning to buy this fall, but with the Mae/Mac IPO shit, and politicians' (publicly claimed) efforts incoming to force conglomerate house holders to sell, I don't know if I should.

I realize I'm fortunate to have this problem from another perspective, but I've put in the work to save this and lived frugally, and I don't want to get fucked.

What the fuck is an AI economy? If everything can be theorectically made by anyone than it isn't much of a barrier to entry is it? Therefore there's no money to be made outside of the companies developing these models and that's not an economy.

impossible to say. can’t post pics in incognito mode but check this chart
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/?g=CpFW
and ask yourself if there’s really ever a bad time to buy a home in the last 50ish years. even the 08 dip got bought back up in less than a decade, and even the picotop of 08 was still cheap compared to today’s prices.
of course housing is inflated because of a myriad of different government policies, and of course a dip could come, but the simple fact is that the government and the fed only really have one hammer in their toolbox for when things break: print more money.

Record earnings from what and where? Methinks most tech stocks are as high as they are because it's necessary for big tech to collect information and silence dissidents for the survival of the system. A closed loop system based on hyper valuing itself for prestige and self importance. The illusions now infuriate the masses and they have all seen hell through addiction. I'd pull out from almost all tech if civil unrest looked inevitable. The question is when tech and the rest of Wall St. can't conjure up distractions anymore.

there has never been a free market
there have been portions of the economy that have been free, but communications is a good example as a utility that has been guided by nation state level interests

You cant let the enemy control the wires you need to stay alive
You cant let the enemy control the computing power you need to stay alive

None of these chatbots are meant to make money. They are just something to do with the hardware while it is be built en mass till its mature enough to be switched to its real purpose

Lots of AI companies will go bankrupt at that time and the bill for the AI system will be footed by the investors and taxpayers

The reason why ((they)) campaigned for AI is to get massive amount of investor money into AI companies, so these jewish companies can develop tech that will be used for massive surveillance and population control.

They are dressing up the AI as funny chatbots, get investor money, while developing the AI for massive surveillance on the goyims dime behind their back.
And the goyims is paying to test their beta version for them.

They don't aim for profit from the chatbots; they aim for the future.
A future where AI is used all over the world by all gov to monitor citizens.
THAT's where the real profit is.

Yes, we are paying them to turn us into slave under surveillance.

It doesn't matter if ai is profitable my itself, as long as they find a way to turn it into a slavemaster for wagies. AI could be a money losing proposition for its whole existence, but if they can use it to further control the plebs, and make them more desperate for lower wages, then it will be overall profitable to the ruling class. They can print money to fund it out of thin air. The money they print inflates real world stuff, increasing their profits on average money. They can use it to leverage increased $s for selling improved silicon, whereas before the improvements in silicon density resulted in lower prices. Now its basically flat, more money = more bits, better tech means more bits per chip, but the price increases at the same rate now, due to silicon inflation from tying financial value to computing power via crypto.

If AI is even 10% successful as the hypesters say it is. That is Major job losses after some time who has the money to pay for services? Do you choose between a chatbot or your house, or your only meal of the day? Then we have a major wave of censorship occurring in the west. What happens when AI is not fed data with proper feedback and nothing but safe, woke garbage data? Would training start to slow down on biometricID authentication walls? How much of a hit in mass would commerce take if authentication was needed for every online order? These are some fucked up questions that we are speeding up to find the answer to. Mostly smacking walls.
