Is getting a credit card and make a limit of €500, let's say, a good way to limit my monthly spending? I am starting a job next friday and it pays okay but I've seen that my spending has been like €800 on the normal and that was when I lived with my parents. I'm, like, what the fuck, but then I see it was a driving school that cost an arm. Anyways, it's time to go hermit mode and save up. Tips?

Limiting your own spending is something you're going to have to decide to do - it's not something a credit card will magically make you better at doing.
You'll just hit the limit on the card then spend 300 in cash

It can help you track some stuff though

How about you just pretend your credit card is a debit card and pay it off every single day, and the days you can't you don't use it ever again until you can?

A more realistic function is to fully pay it off every paycheque, if you cannot you are broke and you cannot use it.

i put X dollars in envelopes ($25) and use one envelope a day for spending money, leftover change and bills go into a bin and when the bills are enough for $25 i use that in lieu of the next envelope. Don't carry your debit/credit card with you
