What happened?
/biz/ used to be the best from 2017-2023, ct was great from 2023- early 2025
but now shit sucks, its just insiders and gay streamers like threadguy, being celebrated after scamming his followers. did the OGs retire after 100k and just escaped.

this, I've been here since 2021 and biz was always a shithole full of scammerfags and complete financial retards who complain about every little market movement
Anonymous (ID: qReF+wkm) No.60768610
90% was shit, but there used to be legit alpha from time to time, now it's just prepumped scams and desperate baggies

I’d rather have snails than the ESLs posting demo threads and TikTok videos

I am anon from 2017. It's been 3 years since I posted on 4chan. I can explain. I dont know why my first post was deleted.

>it worked
anyway. 2017 half of /biz/ was into stocks and half were 2015 crypto bros trying to sell crypto to us new gen of stock traders that were trying out Robinhood. A lot of /smg/ people simply did not get how Bitcoin tech could work and why it was viable and when btc etf was rejected we would rub it in their faces.

But stocks were a cutthroat barren wasteland. People who got into AMD early were like the same people who got into AVAX early. the stock market was not lucrative, boomers were telling us it would take 40 years to see profit and meanwhile you could enter crypto and within a week make 1000% return.

in the down time of waiting for a 400% return from something like Omisego or Ark, /biz/ would talk about life in general, anime, politics, etc. its where the identity really shined. this was the golden age.

>November 2017
Chainlink community started. No one took them seriously at all. In December, every old coin like XRP were reaching ath and chainlink lagged. Then the market crashed in January with bitconnect. Important to note that during this time, /biz/ was noticing linkies had the best memes ever.

>2018
what linkies tell you is exactly right. this entire year on /biz/ was chainlink dialectics. Chainlink memes. What anons would do with chainlink money. Chainlink discussion. There were people who tried to say things like Tieron were better than chainlink and it failed. I cant really think of anything else other than while chainlink was in the .10s area, people tried to shill HOLO.

in my opinion, this is where /biz/'s entire philosophy went from trying to make short term profits into
>we are going to be multi millionaires from holding LINK. do not sell link ever.

It was 2017 newfags, trying to larp as 2015 oldfags that became millionaires off of BTC and ETH.

>2019
2018 again except chainlink actually mooned and non linkies were getting jealous.

>2020
the coof. Also, chainlink taking over the entire fucking investing world? And a bunch of shit coins trying to take chainlink down? Chainlink was still very relevant, but when people were making a shit ton of gains on Uniswap and the Graph it planted the seeds
>maybe you can make money, not holding LINK?

This place was better before 2021 and the crypto boom. It was like a cigar smoke filled room with people discussing stocks. Everyone said to pile into QQQM and Palantir.

Now it's a place where jeets hold onto some derivative shitcoin and tell others to pump it. It's just gambling and NEETs complaining their mom is kicking them out because their bull is moving in.

I thought it was annoying when South America got internet. The jeets are so much worse. It's too bad Modi doesn't make a firewall made of poo.

>2021 - 2022
NFTs, DOGE and SHIB. Crypto was seriously starting to run out of new innovative ideas. 2020 spent time trying really hard to be taken serious. It failed. And now 2021 - 2022 was embracing the meme

ICP was a dying breath from crypto for any sort of financial professionalism and it was an utter shitshow of spectacular proportions.

>2023
meme coins. and serious crypto trying its absolute hardest to throw anything at the wall to say
>WE ARE NOT MEMES!!!!!!!

now. crypto currency is just that: a currency. It's a tool for the stocks, aka actual investments, to store value like gold. 2017 - 2020 was treating crypto like a serious investment. And now we realize it's just store of value.

>coom baits
Objectively good. Once they started banning coom bait we got worse. Seriously.
>frogposting
Go back to /a/
>pajeet scams
You mean shitcoins, not actual "scams". This is just coded language that jannies used against /biz/ to kick off alpha from the board.
Most recently, Trump coin, Hawk tuah, and vine was fucking censored on launch because jannies were retarded and thought it was a scam but it was just a shitcoin that we werent allowed to buy.
>demoralization threads
You cant ban bobo posters you rule loving nigger kisser.
>snails
>2021
Yeah, youre uncultured newfag scum.

>WAAAH WAAAH CHANGE EVERYTHING FOR ME RIGHT NOW!!!!!
No.

a final word:

I short term trade stocks and can buy anything I want now like an OLED monitor. Everyone who bagholds an investment and identifies themselves as something like "AVAXer" instead of a trader is moron.

As someone who started on 4chan in 2012, I think ai is the greatest invention in existence. if you told someone on /a/ in 2007 "hey, in the 2020s, you can have a robot Suzumiya Haruhi talk to you completely in character and the only limit is how much money you have to upgrade your computer with" their response would be
>of course you can, faggot.

I do not browse 4chan at all now really because it seems everyone has the most normie opinion on ai possible and has no interest in ai. It's a mixture of disappointment and being baffled. Personally I blame the bagholding mentality.

cheers.

You think the most marvelous thing about AI is that it fulfills your waifu fantasies and not that it can answer or explain anything you want almost instantaneously without having to do a Google search full of SEO slop and reddit threads?

Also, do you do options? What do you do about having your gains taxed as ordinary income?

yeah the number of jeets doubled on the internet around 2020 which was coincidentally the time /biz/ quality went down.

Biz was murdered by the jannies, never forget that
Literally everything was banned, all non tpo 20 alts and all fun threads
Its hard to complain about a lack of board identity when they make it all forbidden to post

>>60770444
If biz proved anything its that most people are better off hodling rather than attempt at trade
Those early corn holders sure are destitute and unhappy with their bagholding mentality
Also topkek about bragging to be able to afford a screen in anno domini 2025, where do you live, Bangladesh that you think this is a flex

And this is why 90% of /biz/ is miserable. They think their shitty alt coin they married is just like holding ETH in 2015 as opposed to the countless other shitcoins in 2015.
You never get this type of personality in stocks. When people were buying IXHL a month ago, no one thought
>this is just like holding AMZN in the 90s

That's because 4chan caught the attention of jews since around 2023, and they hired jeets to shit up the board ever since.
The short term goal is to make this site unusable.
The end goal is to make life shit for everybody, make us hate each other, to make us more willing for WW3.
