Got shaken out multiple times over the years and a lot of poorly timed buys and sells. Also currently unemployed neet and I have the occassional life expense I have to cover. It's rough out there.

30% in volatile assets is pretty good, you would still see a good return on a portfolio like that. Maybe the rest of the 70% could be used in some sort of staking or LP plan. Just something that would earn you fees instead of nothing.

I started in 2017 too. I dipped my toes in and barely made 6 figures during that run. I started investing heavily during 2018/2019 and watched my portfolio dip as much as 70% but thankfully I stuck with it and became a millionaire by early 2021.

if it's any help I'm 110% in crypto (leverage is awesome) and I'm still not excited. Everything breaking or teasing ATHs yet somehow this has been the most boring bull run of all time.

if you're all in and you get assblasted, there's millions of fellow optimists getting assblasted right alongside you. it's easy to endure because you have good company to commiserate with. If you're sidelined or short and get blown up, it's a very lonely experience in contrast. I'd rather be an eternal bull and suffer the occasional drawdown than be a weird contrarian cynical loser bear. even if you make money hand over fist as a bear, you're basically going long on the idea of the world being awful, fake, gay, and shitty. so have fun spending all that money and finding personal meaning in the fake gay shitty world you've decided you live in.

buy the forgotten alts of last cycle that are still near ATL like DOT, LINK etc and pray for an altseason squeeze (sell immediately when we reach 2-3x gains to match 2024 december prices)
