it's actually all gold bars (1k and up) coming into the US
but switzerland has around 60% global market share so it's perceived as an attack against them specifically, and everyone who produces gold bars of that size (they all do)

Looking after junk and silverware at flea markets and online on various trading places. Especially looking after unsuspecting owners who don't know what they got.
It's definitely not the fastest nor the easiest way to stack, it require work, but that's the best bang for your bux.
Otherwise stick to the simple way of waiting for dips or at spot deals and get tubes of the most affordable (coins preferably over rounds) .999 you can find.

He means they're literally curly haired yids, anon. The idea is that you want as much silver weight as possible while the GSR is retardedly high and then trade the silver when the ratio closes lower than 50 all the way to silver being more valuable than gold due to consumption.
Right now normies are selling everything their boomers and silent gens left behind. There's a shit ton of junk getting melted so you can find it at spot at your LCS of they're based. My lcs just gives me apmex prices on stuff minus shipping but some stuff has been on the shelf for a while and has old tags on it. He'll often give me whatever is on the sticker. Spot was 37.xx when I grabbed a 10oz double maple for 390. That same coin was going in the 4xx range on ebay at the time.
All these cats that grab shit on here below spot, it's in person anon. You have to leave your mom's house to find stuff sometimes.
But I'm a terrible person. I take shit out of assays and put them in my mouth to see what Chinese air tasted like before they turned pandas into 30g coins. Numismatics are just a scam. A really cool scam with history, but remember, you're buying generally less than an ounce for wayyy over spot.

whatever the best currency to metal ratio you can find is, really.
in my case Germany has this portal
https://www.gold.de/aufgeldtabelle/silber/
which may or may not only list the few sites it partners with, but alas, it compares to spot price which is nice.
Just pick from the best option if you don't like the very cheapest (in my case it was often .625 stuff you could get in bulk, it IS cheap and it WAS in circulation for that matter) and invest however much you want to / can afford.
I usually threw 1000β¬s in whenever I had enough backup FIAT to last me an arbitrary amount of time.
With gold I was a bit pickier.
generally, under spot is good deals.

Because mans doesn't fundamentally understand this shit. You buy gold because you are rich and you fucking forget about it. If a jit is getting worried over $100, he is playing the wrong fucking game and needs to be very real about his position in life. Does he OWN outright two vehicles? Maybe he should buy a second car with that 3300 instead and learn how to fix it as it breaks. Silver is for poors. It's fractional gold. I don't know why the fuck motherfuckers are so financially illiterate. The ase literally says $1 and an age says $50. Like holy fuck

It could go down 70% over a few decades like it did after 1980 or get stolen. I have multiple brokerages (and owned apartments)etc with various Bitcoin ETFs and gold miners and other investments scattered around. I'm not ruined if 1 gold miner or Bitcoin ETF or apartment goes to zero. Most of pmg is so poor it doesn't matter if they lose 100% of $50,000 of rocks you could make that back in a year by getting a second job but I'm never working again

It's a rock. Buying a rock is a gamble on more people wanting that rock it doesn't earn anything by itself like a stock could. And historically it is high risk and low return, the opposite of what you want.

>don't feed the LLM
You realize that everything that exists that man has made has been made with express purpose to perform functions, yes?
Like a car was made to transport man from one place to another without intervention from the mind of a horse, pesky animal minds intervention as it were.
Also, a house was made to provide shelter from the elements and respite from the heat and comfort to rest.
I find it interesting that you say "feed" the LLM, as if it could be starved. It's not an animal, it's a man made thing. Designed with a function like a bank, to enrich those who programed it by the deceptions of cofinadnce upon those who "trust" it. It can not think or reason, only run algorithms of lies into the dialog here.

I'll buy a GB if I like the design and it isn't one of the higher denominations. The premiums are way too high (90% or so) for stacking, and they're not practical for real use - they delaminate after some real-world use (flexing, folding) apparently. I get the impression they're mostly cringe meme for doomers who think they're being cool by using them, and hurr when people say what I just said.

It's a gorgeous box, but two things wrong: the latch is both chintzy and mounted upside-down: 1) after opening the lid, the hook swings down so when closing the lid and you're not watchful, the hook smashes into the lock pin. I later removed it. 2) It's expensive. I find humidors make great PM boxes.

Dubs checked...
Some things I've found:
- Bottom has to be built so that it can hold the weight of what's inside.
- It would be nice to have recessed handles on the sides. Alas, that means probably thicker side walls, but maybe that also helps with supporting the bottom - a groove for the bottom plate?
- The latch should be sturdy.
- I've seen boxes with a sort of tongue around the opening's edge so when you close the box, the lid and bottom keep alignment. This tongue should be on the bottom, not lid. The contents will pack up along the inside and a lip from the top will get stopped by the contents.
- The lid does not need to be thick/roomy. If the contents stack higher than the bottom's edge, stuff may fall out when open. A tall lid is wasted space.
- It would be nice to have it lined with a cloth, preferably anti-tarnish cloth (can be bought by the yard from Amazon). I've thought of gluing cloth to cardboard plates that fit the walls and floor. Can remove and replace with new plates if/when the stuff is no longer effective.
- Should be fairly air tight when closed.
- Inexpensive. (as long as it's a wish list, y'know?)
- Dimensions should be some multiple of common silver dimensions - 41mm x however many coins wide and long, or 45mm if in capsules, or for 10-ozt bars, etc.
- Approximate rule: end weight will be about 3/4 of the metal's density time the volume (this allows for gaps between coins, but bars will stack denser if dimensions match multiples of bars'). I'd recommend shooting for 30 pounds. A spreadsheet will help for interpolating dimensions.
Howzzat for a start? :)

Metals aren't rocks because rocks are made of minerals.
You don't own a car. If you did, you'd easily be able to prove you did.
You don't own BTC or ETH. If you did, you'd be able to prove it.
You don't own stocks, if you did you'd be able to show us how many shares you own.
The only things owned here are us owning precious metals, and this board owning your time. We're here to discuss coins and bars, you're here to attempt to disrupt that.

Talk me into/out of purchasing 1 of 1000 2oz Reverse proof libertads. Cost is 325 USD or roughly 450 CAD. I already have a make stack of 117 000 oz (don't worry IQ) but don't have many numismatics.
Considering the rarity, I find the price to be ok. A quick look on auction sites and fleabay has these coin selling a few hundreds higher (even ungraded).

They don't come up often, but there are a few that sold in the last year for a little more than my LCS is charging. I have many libertads, but none are reverse proof. I don't plan on selling it, but rather gifting it to my son (this coin is his birth year). I can afford it, it's just strange paying so much for so little as I've focused mainly on spot deals for the last few years.
I did just watch a 2025 5oz libertad sell for 3kusd. Even though I love them, I don't look at them as numismatic. Am I wrong?

Burger tokens. They already exist as bread tokens, breadcoin, a literal brass token for bread; and enough of them will warrant the need for a higher denomination made of silver and say maybe around the size of a mercury dime.

I suggest acquiring enough silver shot to submerge your entire corpus within. Get an old clawfoot tub and place it on a scenic overlook, then just keep filling it with silver shot until you can submerge yourself in it.
Once you have bathed in silver, completely submerged by it, then this insanity shall pass...

Dumb thing is, they delivered another non-sig pkg right on the porch. He probably knocked softly, rather than use the freakin doorbell right there. With fans blowing, we didn't hear shit. And the web site has a malfunction says it can't look up the pkg's ID to let me have them redeliver. So yeah - trip to the PO tomorrow.

I was pocketing like almost 2k in gold and silver a month. Now it's like 300 a month just buying silver. Any of you guys have experience starting over a profession, career or something similar? Should I just go into a cyber security boot camp or something? I feel pretty defeated right now, and buying my first home has been put on the backseat because of my paycut. sorry to hear that. $50k is still excellent money in most of the US. Not great if you live alone, but really good if you have a partner or parents to help with bills.
Losing jobs and suffering health problems are normal for pretty much all adults. Everyone has to start over a time or two. You're still young enough to go back to school and make it pay if you want. But honestly if you're paying the bills and have $300 left over each month you're still doing far better than most americans.
Perhaps instead of a whole new career, get a side hustle or two? Wouldn't take much. Just something to put into your stack. I'm retired but I flip stuff on ebay, fix cars every now and then, and have been processing gold ore from local mines. I expect I'll make about $20k extra this year just off side gig hobbies. Probably harder to do with a full time job, but nothing I'm doing takes much time out of my day. Photographing stuff to list on ebay is the most tedious thing I do for money, and even that's not bad.

there's this idea that low-bar work is all illegals, but in real life most companies can't hire illegals, and good luck finding a US citizen that wants to scrub toilets for any price.

We completely lost control of the (((debt))), it's crazy to think it almost doubled since 2018 (we were nearing $20T back then). 2018. It was fucking yesterday, and it's not like anything improved since then, we still experience the slow descent into the abyss of competency crisis, decaying public infrastructure and total corruption. But somehow we added +18T of public debts.

Where does this dichotomy comes from? How come the LCS are experiencing zero demand but online is thriving? I guess it depends on the country, we do not have LCSs here, but we have a culture of savings and defiance toward the government, so maybe the EU is stacking while the US are selling, idk..

Retail in my area is a little tapped out. While the customer stream into the stores has been steady its not elevated like it was say a year ago. It isn't retail that is driving the prices anyways. Russia started adding silver to its reserves, India is purchasing large quantities of silver, exceeding the amount bought by the London Bullion Market Association, and China is directly buying silver from miners, potentially for industrial or strategic reserves. The volume is there, but its from the big players. This year will have another deficit.

Out local troll(s) are basically like flat Earthers - they don't really care about the subject - in this case PMs or e-coin... they want to get a rise out of you and collect (you)s.
Every time you respond, they win.
Yeah, it takes discipline to refrain from responding. Filtering helps a lot.
>But others might listen to this guy
Not your problem.
>But he's wrong
Not your problem.
>He's messing up "our" threads
So are your futile responses, which give them an opportunity to reply and provoke and continue the cycle.
They're kids. Leave 'em be.
If you HAVE to respond, maybe include "IQ" in the text somewhere so a filter on that string will cut down on the noise.

We tragically lost our LCS to hoodlums of another color. They had enough after three attacks in as many months. They had been the place to buy, especially if you bought small amounts. But of course the selections were limited to what customers sold them and a few items they stocked. Online has such a hue array of choices.

>This year will have another deficit.
Latest projections for 2025 are at 206Moz, deficit wise. Even larger than 2023 (183Moz), even tho earlier this year ALL news outlets announced this year the deficit would go down significantly for various factors :
>China slowing down it's solar production
>EVs subsidies ending, triggering lower demand
>copper output expected to ramp up to meet demand trickling down more silver byproduction
>people being poor
They were expecting around 100-120Moz deficit for 2025 back in Dec 2024.
And now, just 8 months later, the projections fucking doubled lol. I think we all know with they are downplaying it so much : as you said it's literally only the big bois propping up spot price, and big bois want to position themselves quietly, without making waves. The total opposite of crypto.
Because they know. They know there isn't enough affordable silver for everybody anymore. They need normies to sell, and desu the deficit could be slightly curbed down because so many ppl are unloading. And from LCS own words, up to 80% of what's entering the shops is bought back by refiners to be melted down. Further evidence the demand is there from large players.

Did you get them all in one lot or separately?
Were you the one who outbid me on a bunch of these coins?
>the average persons hears about it and thinks the line can go up forever, thats why he buys crypto and not pms,
Ah, yes, the definition of a ponzi scheme aka pyramid scheme.

Buy the metrics of currencies. Yes, your statement is correct. However, by the metrics of tangible utility assets, no.

Wait. What was Jesus flipping over the tables in the temple all about again?
Oh yeah, making his fathers house a den of thieves, huh?
Well, nevertheless, I'm sure there's some allowances in non usarus moneychanging, right?
I am guilty myself of money changing. Who isn't?
Or maybe, just maybe, it's not about what you do, but who you know. Maybe debt doesn't exist, and eternal life is gaureteed to those who believe, and they can do whatever they want, huh?
I guess only God knows, and we'll just have to wait and see...

15-25% depending on condition. May have one or 2 that were 30%. I'm up on the majority of them against fiat at this point.
