I was also thinking about this recently. Currently I just use an old laptop and only use it for trading. But it's very slow and inconvenient, so I'm also thinking of maybe using a vm instead.

Anyways there is also another problem with passwords and backups. I was thinking maybe keeping my passwords on a high quality usb and giving a second usb to parents as a backup?

I'm personally not a big fan of hardware wallets. They seem expensive and are also another point of failure.

If anybody knows a proper guide by people who though properly about all this, that might be helpful. Not just some yt influencer who wants to sell you some product.

does it only need to be air gapped when creating the wallet?

Seedsigner
Literally build your own from publicly available components, build the software from source yourself.

Can operate completely air-gapped, just via QR codes, no wired connection operation is possible.

No. Do not do this when you are tech illiterate. Just buy a normal hardware wallet.

Anonymous (ID: R81tHbwJ) No.60775387

I did. No. It needs to be air gapped all the time, like a normal hardware wallet. You just sign the transaction on the laptop and send from another device.
