Not everyone was lucky enough to get a high paying corporate office job right out of college where that strategy works. I had to toil away in warehouses and factories, and then join the military just to get my office job that I have now at 29.

Not everyone had to foresight to stick with JUST btc/eth because most people entering crypto for the first time think of market caps and potential x's. Yes that includes me, thanks to short term thinking many of us got giga fucked. Hardly anyone in their wildest imagination though could've imagined btc.d going absolutely nuts like it did this cycle with alts getting absolutely crushed with a boot on their neck.

As for my case, below $100k net worth but could've been well above $500k if I had just stuck with btc/eth like you and didn't make so many emotional bad swings with shitcoins. So yeah bad emotional decision making + rotten luck swinging shitcoins got me to my unfortunate position. Congrats anyways.
