Nah, they're not that great. You still need a waiter to bring drinks, since they jerk around too much, and at tables with a big party you need to pass the food around which is a pain in the ass, more so if you're with dumbasses or people already tipsy. Some dishes it can't handle (soups), and in general if there's any issue you have to push a button and summon a real waiter to sort it out.
I've been to several restaurants with these things, and in all cases, there was the robots PLUS the normal amount of waitstaff. The robots were just a curiosity that drew in some additional people.
