This is a good argument for POS I guess. Sure, bitcoin's hashrate is 1000x greater than Monero's, but conceivably, someone rich enough could buy up all the mining rigs. You can't buy up 51% of eth (actually 66% required now) without pushing the price to 6 figures

POS is Monero's best option but it's probably too late now. Based on Ethereum's development timeline it will take months or years to convert Monero to POS. They don't have that kind of time with the coin on the threshold of a 51% attack.
