Plus there's the $1.20/unit capital raise (bought deal NO WARRANTS, which is as good as it gets) was way too tempting, there's only 1 reason for a capital raise when they have no debt, increased their rotating line of credit whatever with TD already, and had >$10m working capital cash in the first place. Most likely big contract upcoming next is with TTC (Toronto) following up with a transit equipment upgrade after approving of a small pilot project on ai dashcams earlier this year. Next most likely one is SEPTA (Pennsylvania) also giving ai dashcams another big contract (most likely over US$15M) to comply with the FRA mandate deadline by 2027. All transit/rail in the US will need to meet the deadline by end of 2027, and if they need to outfit their fleets they need to start giving out contracts now/soon

I dont like to base my thesis on PE but it's also the easiest way to represent it. They still have a positive PE, and in good times even during that bigger market cap valuation last year in 2024 VTSI was trading at a pe 10x
again PE is not really the way to base your decisions in value trading (u get roped into value traps like intel), but it's prob the easiest way to represent it. There are plenty of negative EPS that are actually doing well, ai dashcams was basically breakeven last quarter (-$100K) with so much in the pipeline, operating expenses e.g. prepping for big 2-year contracts, where it works out the company is prepping inventory and other expenses (more staff) so for a $30m contract for example they might spend $5 million right away in 1 quarter but ultimately for the next 4 quarters after that they're fulfilling the $30m contract with less expenses spent if you get what I mean

still not 100% sure on the situation on VTSI but I think obscure companies like VTSI is one more thing to look at.
