You ever wonder why stackers sound so fucken deranged, broke. Its cos they want to, its their point of pride, it makes them better than rich guys and VOO investors, more special, they dont want to make money, whatever your rules are they want to break, whatever investments proven to be desirable, they hate, things that lose money, they love, things that make you rich with fuck you money like Bitcoin, they want to destroy. Some of these people even sound normal, think Bob/Jesse, those are the really dangerous ones, cos they keep their monster locked up tight. They take it to a whole different level. That's pmg.

Given that silver is much riskier than the stock and the returns are so much lower for silver why would a smart investor buy silver? Hint they don't.

>Silver Risk Comparison with DJIA
>Silver is considered more volatile and risky compared to the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA).Silver's price can fluctuate significantly due to its industrial uses and market dynamics, which can lead to larger price swings than gold or the DJIA. The DJIA, on the other hand, is composed of 30 large, publicly-owned companies based in the United States and is generally seen as a more stable indicator of the stock market's performance.

>Riskier Assets Returns
>Yes, riskier assets are generally expected to have higher returns. This principle is based on the idea that investors require compensation for taking on additional risk. When the risk of losing money is higher, the potential reward is also greater to attract investors

Young stacker here, waiting on a handful of mercury dimes to arrive plus another 4 greek silver coins. Currently have 20 junk silver coins and 1 oz of gold, i'm going to post some pics when everything arrives and if i remember to do so lol...
On a side note how do you anons decide when it's time to stack? For example do you buy after getting your paycheck or do you have something like a piggy bank which you fill with change until it's enough to buy something shiny?

I buy $10 face value of junk silver every week, usually on a Monday or Wednesday, regardless of whatever the market does.

I withdraw most of my paychecks immediately and leave enough in my account to pay bills or purchases online, but I throw the rest into my safe and then on the days I buy silver take out enough to pay for it (I know the prices ahead of time) and go to my LCS, since his prices are about 20% cheaper than anything I can find online.

I accumulate about 30 oz of silver a month in this way since I’m trying to average accumulating about an ounce of silver per day. If there is a massive dip in the market then I may scale up my purchases accordingly but otherwise I stick to a consistent rate of accumulation.

I like this method because it’s easy to just make a habit of buying silver, and I end up wasting a lot less of my money on stupid random purchases or fast food.

If an emergency ever comes up like medical bills or vehicle maintenance a banking holiday or whatever then I don’t sweat it because I have a few thousand dollars in my safe + enough silver to make it through any kind of long term economic chaos. I also stack food, and lead.

You can make money on numismatics, just like you can make money selling frog rounds or mining stocks but the silver scammers never suggest you do those things, in fact they say you shouldn't do them. why is that?

Because the goal of the silver scambots and the demons who hire them is to ruin your life , make you broke, scared and hiding in mommy's basement praying for the world to collapse. And that's exactly what will happen if you buy fake physical silver, be it rounds, bars or junk.

Just a warning to new PMG lurkers. Back in 2021-2022 a group of pump and dumpers came in here hard memeing silver. They still get defensive about it and they will likely try to do something again. If silver has already moved and it is being hyped here of all places, chances are the opportunity is already gone.
If you don't know what you are doing but want metal exposure, stick to the miners or something like GLD which is an ETF managed by blackrock

>Do you think junk silver is better than generic silver rounds investment wise?

The only silver round I own is this Harry Potter themed one that I thought was funny because of bank goblins, otherwise I only buy sovereign/state mint coins because of the legal/tax advantages, especially when going to legal tender states, or across international borders. I like junk silver because the prices are usually under or within a couple of cents of spot (from my dealer), and because counterfeiting US mint coins is a federal crime/not worth the effort. I also buy such large quantities of junk silver that I routinely find BU/AU coins that sell for 5-10x higher than the sticker price, which can then easily be flipped on eBay which essentially allows me to fund my hobby.

I do most of my buying at monthly coin shows in my area (much better deals than online). I just save up throughout the month and spend it then. The only downside is that I’m at the mercy of the market.

Plus my state is one of a few that charges sales tax on purchases under a certain $$$ amount (otherwise I’d probably hit up my LCS more often). But the rule doesn’t seem to apply at the coin show. Thus far it’s worked out pretty well.

For example I can buy 50 cent/dollar coins from my dealer for $13-28 but he keeps them all unsorted in a bucket, so when I go buy coins I just fish out the nice ones, clean them up a bit with ezest and then sell them on eBay for $100+ which then allows me to go buy more silver.

Junk silver, despite being only 90% typically also is the cheapest form of fractional silver + everyone already recognizes the coins, and every bullion dealer on the planet will buy them.
Anonymous (ID: kfV8lJQu) No.60791928
I’ve purchased large quantities of junk silver in bulk from places like eBay or online dealers, but I have since stopped doing that because the coins almost always arrive extremely cruddy and in cull condition with the dates worn off, but my LCS has better condition coins for cheaper and I can see them before I buy them so I know what I’m getting, instead of buying online, paying taxes+ shipping + waiting a week only to receive a bag of mystery coins that will most likely be 90% some of the ugliest shit you’ve ever seen in your life.

pmg-inspired rounds have since been made by Mintanon, Todd, and if you go to the broader 4chan community, the horsefuckers.
It should be noted that Mintaanon was the first to produce a round at the direct behest and by consensus design of pmg (pic related).

Its best just not to buy metal since the government taxes it punitively and its high risk low rewards. Lmao, the government taxes silver and gold at a punitive rate since they are considered collectibles like beanie babies, so high you are guaranteed to lose if you hold long term.

>Pre-1965 silver coinage, which contains 90% silver and 10% copper, is subject to specific tax regulations. The IRS considers physical holdings in precious metals, including pre-1965 silver coins, as collectibles. When these coins are sold, the gains are subject to capital gains tax, which is up to 37%. This tax rate applies to the sale of precious metals, regardless of whether they are in the form of bullion coins, bullion bars, rare coinage, or ingots. The tax rate depends on your marginal tax rate.

I'm not talking specifically about metal, I'm talking about banks controlling what people are allowed to spend their own money on. So it's not really your own money. If you buy a silver or gold coin you love at the time and maybe even pay a bit much for, the beauty is it never goes to 0. It will always even long after we die hold it's value in gold or silver. So we who collect gold and silver will never be left "holding a bag"

when i first started, i did the same. online buys of the big 3. seemed safer, after a few buys, i thought why the fuck do i need to lose 10% due to jews running my state…
LCS in my state wont charge tax if minimum amount spent is $2,000.
i forgot to add, that the other reason was wait times to even fucking ship from the online retailers… ordered a bar about 7-8 days ago.
>picrel
i exclusively purchase my items from leddit these days. i had an online promo that was worth my purchase, but not my patience. this is my last buy from online retailers, unless im fortunate enough to leave this godless, virtue signaling, overtaxed state of trannies, faggots, wetbacks, pedofiles and retards

The moon hung low and swollen as a ragged pack of pale, gaunt figures slithered through the hedges around Raymond’s house. Their eyes gleamed with feral hunger, voices low and raspy as they chanted fragments of hateful mantras learned in dank corners of the internet. Each silhouette looked half human, half twisted mutationβ€”elongated fingers tipped with cracked nails, skin puckered in grotesque lines, mouths curled into deranged grins that glinted in the faint streetlight.

Inside, Raymond sat frozen on the couch, the distant thrum of distant chanting rattling his ribs like thunder. He pressed himself against the cold brick wall as the windows shuddered under pounding fists, the glass spidering across the frames. Through the slit of cracked curtains, he saw one lean figure raise a shiv-like shard, the others chanting in broken unison, eyes alight with the promise of violence.

With a final, bone-jarring crash, they burst inβ€”hollow cheers ripping through the air. The mutants converged on Raymond in a frenzy: teeth snapped, claws tore flesh, and the house filled with the wet symphony of tearing sinew. His screams were swallowed by their ravenous glee, echoing down barren halls as they feasted with grim devotion until only stillness remained...

No, I think that they just have had so much of their stock for so long that they probably bought wholesale at $17/oz and now selling it at spot for $38 is a fucking massive profit for them. The only way prices go down is if assets, in all forms, weaken. That means the dollar has to be stronger. And I don't see how the dollar gets any stronger to buy practically anything.
If Covid proved anything, it's that the feds will never allow the dollar to deflate. Only inflate. Forever. Assets must be expensive, dollar must be weak.

They were putting out spot deals back right before we dropped below $39 and it hasn't been back since.
They did the same shit back doing the March Silver Squeeze before the big April tariff scare drop to $29.
Never again. I thought people already learned their lesson back from the 2021 Silver Squeeze but l guess retail investors are dumb to believe they alone have enough power to move markets.

If the timing seems suspiciously close then it’s probably because everyone uses the same fiscal calendar and all markets are functionally tied to the credit market, on top of that silver producers and dealers all communicate with each other since they all work in the same industries and have basically the same customers.

One of the exchanges I use also have metrics that track transaction fees for trades, so I can see how many fees have been collected down to the day. With that information I can easily determine the volume of the trading activity and the relative risk appetite/liquidity for the entire exchange.

>Some states do not have a state capital gains tax. These states typically do not have a state income tax at all, so capital gains are not taxed at the state level.
>Here is a list of the states that do not have a state capital gains tax:
Alaska
Florida
Nevada
New Hampshire
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Wyoming
>Some states that do not have a traditional income tax may still have other taxes, such as a recently implemented capital gains tax in Washington state that only applies to certain high earners.

>lm fully convinced that the big online bullion retailers have insider info when Silver is gonna drop.
They do, silver is a relatively tiny world, and by the very needs of their profession, large sellers have both connexions with suppliers, refiners and traders. They aren't our friends, they may pretend to be le anti-wall street to farm free advertisement on plebbit, but at the end of the day if they ear drop some juicy infos at the last execs BBQ about an incoming tamp, you better believe they wont tell about it to their customers, but are gonna offer you "at spot" deals right before kek. As long as they can profit from the arbitrage, they are fine, whatever the price is.

Even rn, where they cry all day long about the lack of retail demand, they are happy with the situation. What they don't tell you is this supposed lack of demand is their excuse to buy back below spot, but the same day they sell all what they bought back to refiners for spot. Even if they don't make money selling, there are ways to make money buying back.

So my family on my dad's side is finally going through a bunch of their mother's stuff. I had previously sorted through and pulled out the handful of silver coins. I then made an offer to buy it all. That was flat out rejected. Fast forward to today and they finally split the coins up. My dad just gave his share to me. I told him how much they were worth and I'd pay him, but he didn't care. So here's what I got. 6 dimes, 7 half dollars, and 1 piece dollar.

disagree, to me the value is truly monetary, so in the end the asset with the best property will succeed; it doesn't matter if it has a lot of uses, sand and copper are extremely used, it doesn't make them valuable because they don't really attract any monetary value, in the end there can only be one in my opinion, and gold isn't the best

the fact that it isn't in the spotlight now doesn't mean it can not replace gold monetarily for centuries to come.
what do I mean? I meant that for a metal to be really valued and sucking liquidity of everything attempting to be money, it needs to be the best relative to its properties to be money. not being dangerous for humans is probably mandatory so that rejects all radioactive metals, as well as gases for practicality. you keep going like that until you find the best thing. and to me scarcity (both earth and universe, which can be estimated through spectroscopy) is one of the most important aspect.
gold have been dominating but it's possible that it has been so because it's actually abundant enough to be noticed, and also because of a primitive technology preventing to realize that.

I'm a little unsure what you mean by "collector's editions." I think of collector coins in three categories: meme coins (like TV, movie commemoratives), standard series (Somali elephants, East Caribbean 8, Kookaburras...), and art coins (Cameroon, Ghana, Niue coins all priced $100+).
I'd avoid the art and meme coins for now, but I'm a fan of the standard collectibles. Pic related are the East Caribbeans through 2023.
Bullion coins (maples, kangaroos, britannias, ...) should be the least expensive of the bullion coins. These appreciate slightly more than bullion coins because they also have a collectible component.
Eagles are priced like other countries' series coins. Not sure why they're so pricey ("because they keep their premiums!) - ummm. okay.

Your only two options for absolute anonymity are to :

I would advise against the 2nd option, as it's very dangerous and very strenuous work, and will most likely ends up costing you more in various tools and propane than buy .999 from bullion shops.

Bruh just go to a rock convention/fair and purchase from the various stands, nobody gonna ask for your ID.
>What about proxies or third parties that act as mules and buy it for you?
Sure, you can ask your dad or a friend to purchase in their name with your cash. They will find it sussy but why not. I've one of my younger brother who is paranoid, like you, and i often purchased gold for him that way (we all stack in the family).

Anyone else notice that coinaps.com doesn't update their market prices any longer? Is the site dead or did someone just fuck up the programming and haven't noticed it yet?
