are rate cuts going to be bullish or bearish?

I though the plan was to make everybody bullish now expecting the rates cut, then 50bps cut and end of the year rally, ppl buying like idiots and then bam, total rekt.
But not we are getting bearish from the get go in the middle of the summer with the unexpected inflation data so is difficult to say.

There won't be rate cuts. And even if there is, the multiples are stretched enough. There's a lot more downside than upside here unless companies almost double their earnings

Any rate cuts now are bearish as fuck. When stocks at all-time highs and you got full employment there is absolutely no need. With inflation re-surging and tariffs effects (aka more inflation) not having played out, yet, it seems even more retarded to cut. This will be perceived as Jay Powell getting cucked by Trump into manipulating the markets. That sonofabitch would do anything to lower bond yields cuz he is scared shitless of the dangerously high debt levels.

Shouldn't Trump care about high inflation too?

He doesn't. If he did he wouldn't have done the tariffs, big beautiful bill etc. His whole political agenda is inflational as fuck.

Well, what if most of that is priced in? If we get increased unemployment, by a lot, Powell will cut, but market should crash. As long as the unemployment does not go up, then the market im assuming just keeps pricing in a soft landing.

No that’s why he deleted the estate tax like a scumbag before attempting to fully cement the already wealthy as a permanent ruling class with further rate cuts. Inflation is perfectly fine for the people who own the assets. Horrible for everyone else.

ook at memecoin. The name so literal it makes normies think it’s fake, the supply so divine it feels like it was blessed by the market gods, and the Dextools chart that looks lit
