So crypto is dumping because of inflation????
Inflation numbers make this shit dump??? I thought this was supposed to be a hedge against inflation?

Yeah, that's what baggies claim. The crypto market has been following stocks since 2018.

Dumping because of the narrative - aka no rate cuts for a while since the inflation numbers released today far exceeded expectations.

It's the macros pressing crypto down, the whole space is designed to go up based on free money flowing to the normies.

You're confusing monetary inflation with consumer price inflation.

Consumer price inflation goes up = rate of monetary inflation must go down.

inflation is an incentive for central banks to raise the borrowing rate. more expensive borrowing costs put downwards pressure on risky asset buying. there is much talk about the fed lowering the rate, but they won't be able to do that, or do that as much, if inflation ticks up.
