Art has always been unpredictable as a way of making profit. Anyone relying on it for a living should rethink their future. I'm relying on it too, but that's because I'm too lazy to do anything else. I know the risks.
>>60796644 >don't forget to pay your electricity, water, and art bill >oh man I don't know how I'm gonna get through this month without my art budget >yeah I think your company would really benefit shareholders from my art >no I don't know how to do math or manipulate technology but you should pay me a lot for art >phew it sure was hard studying and practicing to get my degree in art
Also, ever notice how these twitter illustrators never call themselves illustrators like the highly skilled (and highly paid) professional illustrators do? The twitter scums always refer to themselves with the blanket term “artists” and what they are making is not illustrations but “art.”
Twitter hack illustrators have a cartoonish child’s view of what artistry is and is not. Art is illustration, it’s music, film, storytelling, and so much more. But I don’t expect some ghetto creature who says “bruhh” to know that.

Yep. They're not even making art. They're making cheap soulless junk for internet clout. Just copying memes and shit. That behavior is totally devoid of soul and passion.

Only if people buy your shit you daft tard. Which conveniently means I can get a job jacking off into a watermelon for two hours if someone pays me.

Jobs are, by definition, efforts that bring economical return to society.
Artists don't have jobs in this sense. Artists are just comforters, no different than prostitutes.
If the comfort you have to give is inferior to the comfort given by a generic AI so your comfort offer just sucks
Art never made money for new artists. They were doing dumb things like logos and marketing images for corporations. Andy Warhol did this dumb stuff before he became famous. Now if you are an artist, you better be drawing on youtube and building a brand. Then find whatever work you want on the side. It doesn't matter.
