Why would you have more than 3-5k in your checking? Throw the rest of that shit into your brokerage for trading.

How much cash does Berkshire Hathaway have on hand?
Anonymous (ID: ZR2X2bLC) No.60801404
>>60800228
How much can Berkshire invest in small-mid cap stocks with a focus on intangible value and quality without making them no longer value stocks? In their position it is simply the best play to hold cash and wait for a crash, that doesn't mean it's right for someone who could put his entire life's savings into one stock and not substantively effect it.

This is correct. I'm worth over $40M and I rarely have more than $20k in checking, just enough to pay that month's bills.

But btw Fidelity has a cash management account that works just like a checking account and can be invested in MMFs that automatically liquidate to cover checks and withdrawals and whatever, so you can get 4.3% on money that's just hanging out there.

I have over 200k in it but I donโ€™t know what to do with it. I donโ€™t want to risk crypto or stocks, and anything that can give me a yield like a savings account is just crap. I want at least a safe 4% yield with no lock up. How can I get this?

I had 30k in savings (4.5% monthly) and 3k in checking. I dumped 20k into the market and now keep 5k cash 5k savings. I don't really know what I'm doing, but if anyone has advice on what coin or stock to dump 1k into, let it rip. Nancy Pelosi was hanging out on some forum a few weeks ago and I got a huge return on 10k in to KGC

>i want a safe, liquid, high yield investment
lol, pick two
stocks get you high yield and liquidity
checking account gets you safety and liquidity
bonds gets you safety and high yield
savings account sort of get you a bit of all three, but dependent on interest rates for the yield

there's some high yield savings accounts that give 4%. just put your money there if you want risk free although I'd recommend putting it into index funds since those are relatively safe and can give you a higher returns

don't listen to retards on this board and put it into crypto.
Anonymous (ID: Sf5lLtJi) No.60806791
>>60806162
There are CDs that give 4%, some more. Youโ€™re just under the FDIC insurance limit so you should stick it in one of those and forget about it.

Money market in a brokerage. Vmfxx is usually the best rate. For all the people suggesting hysa, cds or bonds, you should have then doxxed and make sure you never take their advice.

I keep $500-$1k + rent money in my checking account.
The rest I move into stocks, btc, etc.

But also I'm poor. It just doesn't make sense to me to have cash sitting in a checking account unless I'm about to have to spend it. I can't think of any emergency where I couldn't use credit or would have less time than an ACH transfer to pay up.

Fidelity Cash Management Account works like a checking account and lets you keep it in money market funds. The default SPAAX option will give you around 4%, if you buy FNSXX you can get it to 4.30%.

If you ever have a check or debit or other withdrawal it'll just automatically sell whatever from the money market funds to cover. 0 fees, free ATM withdrawals, free wires free checks

4 week t-bills are a bit better than money market because you don't pay state taxes. I have a 4-week with a 4.364% rate right now.
Of course there's a 28 day "lock up," but you don't need all $200k at once. You can also set it up so a quarter of it gets invested every week (four 50k t-bills).

Looking through this channel not all of these guys are listing money in a 0 yield checking. One of these guys says 48K but it's "invested in CDs, the stock market and crypto."
