I visited China many times and this is 100% propaganda, most of the city looks like picrel or worse. Don't be fooled just use Google images and dig a bit past the government issued images. In the US the center might be less modern (as Europe is less modern than the US) but everything is decent. You can even search for [city name] slums and most big cities will have Brazil like slums. In China they invest everything in a few blocks and normal people live like dogs. Still pretty impressive but don't be fooled by the propaganda, godspeed anons
