If you had $40k in cash, what would you do with it right now? Buy BTC/ETH? Or just keep it in a HYSA to buy again in the bear market?

Who do you think would be buying these? Seems institutions would only buy btc and eth, so it seems they would underperform these despite lower mc

I’d hold as cash until blood on the street and then buy 30% chainlink 60% btc and 10% SXT

How bloody? Like upcoming dips, fear and greed index showing extreme fear, or after we've been down only for a year straight?

How do you even get the work? Are you marketing off instagram? I already got a 6 fig job so seems low ROI but I know some college girls/married girls who do this full time and seem successful at it

When people are killing themselves bloody. We absolutely require a Great Depression 2.0. It’s the only way to fix this economic mess we are in. We need it now and get over the pain now, if the can keeps getting kicked down the street and problem allowed to grow, do not expect to ever be able to buy back because there will be no more society. I’d say just in case you should hedge for being able to survive a world war 3 and complete collapse of society situation

I would instead invest in index funds because I'm not a retarded cryptocurrency gambler

I have 85k already in this. Do you just auto buy with leftover money? I'd want to buy btc when its below 50% ath again

Is the question just wanting to know what I do?
I just buy a 60% US 40% international index fund every paycheck. It's a singular fund. I simply buy that every two weeks and never care about looking at the price. There is no leftover money. Dividends get reinvested automatically.

Completely stress free for me. I can expect 7% compounding returns and guaranteed retirement.

>Completely stress free for me
Yeah, it's stress free until you realize you're likely far underperforming something like Bitcoin, especially buying in bear markets and selling at times like now. I only have a leftover 3k every month so idk if it'll make enough of a difference to retire even after a decade. Idk if my job will even exist by then. This is what stresses me out, the opportunity cost.

You just gotta balance it, just make sure you keep a good % in index funds like 80%

I personally just buy index funds and large cap crypto. I don’t touch leverage or options since getting lucky is not worth the stress.

A stablecoin and 1 volatile asset of your choice. The returns out there are pretty good with the top defi protocols. There are some rewards programs out there. Impermanent loss is a meme, it's just opportunity cost. My biggest fear is just a sudden drop in price that puts the spread out of range, giving you no fees and 100% of the volatile asset which is worth less then. And hacks. But as long as you have a lot of downside spread and you believe the project behind the volatile asset is good, have OpSec set up, that's about as good as you can do.

Should just be 75% VOO and 25% BTC.

I could completely get rugged on Bitcoin and still retire on millions from the fact I'm saving 45 percent of my income.

Why 25% bitcoin? Simply because it performed well recently? Where is your international diversification?

grab about 100 from next each of next 3 sets for $150 each and sell in 3-5 years for $100k

If that's the case then you should keep buying the top since a collapse like that would equalize everyone

put it all into defi and earn yield. withdraw $700 a week and dca 50 of btc and eth a day. hold for 20 years, do not try to play the market you will lose.

>put it all into defi and earn yield
how do you go about this? Is the risk worth it compared to just 4-5% in a HYSA?
>dca 50 of btc and eth a day
$50 a day to each?
Anonymous (ID: I+pm2Xqu) No.60803013
>>60801703
personally i think it is but thats gotta be your own judgement call, if you can find a good spot to earn 10% (like HLP) its literally a 100% improvement. but its obviously not risk free. personally i have found the risks to be worth it because i've dodged nearly all of the blowups.

yea $50/day into each. ideally you also find a good place to stake the eth and earn yield on that too

BTC hedges against inflation. IMO if US economy were to giga crash/enter depression the world economy would likely follow and possibly fair even worse.
Anonymous (ID: gQm0/EB/) No.60803386

First, you're not the person I was talking to.
Second, how the fuck is bitcoin a hedge against inflation? You think volatile speculative assets with no intrinsic value are inflation hedges? Specifically explain to me how bitcoin hedges against inflation.
By the way, it's "fare", not "fair".

50% BTC
30% A
10% ETH
10% AVAX
Anonymous (ID: I+pm2Xqu) No.60804160
>>60803605
wtf is A

also you thinking avax should have same weighting as eth is hilarious. should be like 45%btc/45%eth/10%avax with the explicit goal of turning avax profits into more btc and eth during some short window of outperformance

eth has instutional adoption with a store of value narrative. eth has 1% inflation rate avax has like 15%. eth has 30% of eth staked avax has 4% (data pulled from chatgpt so might be inaccurate but im running with it)
