Is anyone else just hoarding cash to buy BTC in the bear market? Does it make sense to keep it all in a HYSA? Or would you keep it in t-bills or index funds right now?

no, don't swing trade. sooner or later the swing won't go the way you think and you'll be left in the dust

So what do you suggest? I have about 200k and I'd need 2.5M to retire early. Would you just auto buy BTC no matter what as soon as you got the money? Debating just keeping it all in VTI and buying BTC if its at a nice discount next year with fresh money. Also, debating keeping it in a HYSA in case VTI crashes 15% or so by next year.

Instead of hoarding cash and sidelining yourself, why not put it into some less speculative stocks and etfs, and use margin when an opportunity does arise?

How old are you? 200k can get you to 1.6 mill in 21 years fairly reliably

Would you buy now? I do want to go all in BTC, dca-ing every paycheck but idk if I'll hate myself when it's down next year instead of keeping cash and then buying big at that point

I'm 29. 200k in what? Like I said above, thinking of just going all in BTC now, then dca-ing no matter what for a decade. if we really hit a bear market I'll try getting every loan I can and flipping my 401k to BTC, too.

This is exactly what happened to many LINK swing traders in 2020.
Many had been swing trading for years growing their bags, until one day they sold everything before it soared to over $50.
All the gains they built up for years had been nothing compared to if they had just held on their bags.
