Soooo, at some point, our brilliant legislators will have to come to grips with the fact that AI does not pay taxes, medicare, or medicaid. And somehow, America will have to assist all the displaced workers. Surely, they do not expect the American people to absorb the costs of businesses "downsizing" its workforce and landing those people on public assistance. What is going to be the policy for businesses to set aside money to care for those unemployed people??? Taxpayers are taxed out. It would be wise to get ahead of that crisis.

You have no understanding of exponential decay. When a dollar gets printed, every transaction is an exponential decay on the value remaining in the system. Missing one step in the supply chain means the gov is receiving only 99.999999% instead of 99.9999993%
