I early sold a few x20 in 2021 so since then i have ptsd. Eventually what happened is i kept holding each pump for 4 years on different alts only to see them retrace. Had i sold each time that would be several x3.

I had a project where my investment of 3000 dollars hit 200 000 dollars. I took a screenshot of it. But that was literally the ath and the price collapsed quickly after that.

It now serves as a reminder of what i could have had if i just fucking sold when i want to brag

Many such cases. Had $10k in a project that crabbed for a year. It started going lower and lower, so I took a $6k hit and sold it for $4k. 1 month later it pumped to $1.7m. Had another one with a $7k initial that went to $325k. I hodl’d it this time and watched it do a triple backflip off a cliff and now it’s currently at $25k.

There is no strategy to this shit. Either you get lucky or you don’t. Things you hold could moon or do nothing. Holding in my 1st scenario would have retired me. Holding in my 2nd scenario by thinking it would pump only ruined me in the end. The stress of riding this rollercoaster was not worth it in the end. Crypto permanently fucked my mental state

What I like to do is sell the top, the buy again at the bottom, then sell again at the top, the buy again at the bottom, and repeat repeat repeat until I have no money left. That's my strategy.

Could be like me instead with $100k buy-in with only $39k left (granted at least $10k-$15k had to be withdrawn for life expenses). The only time I ever recall breaking even was early '22 when I had $40k from a $10k buy-in back in. I made the huge mistake of making giant cluster buys during the "dip" of 2022 literally right before Russia invaded Ukraine and the rate hikes happened. I got giga rekt and never truly recovered since. I got close to breaking even at peak previous bull back in March '24 when my folio was at $95k. I held like a retard instead and basically lost half my money that summer during the crash and of course panic sold too. TBF I was holding some really shitty shitcoins too which never recovered.

I have a beautiful child with my wife now and desu i dont know if i would've had the strength to choose the family pill if i just became filthy rich first. Now I dream about how I could use the money to build us a home on a nice piece of land if it does ever happen.
