Jawdropping analysis of Chainlink's Reserve

For the Chainlink employees that advocate here, why exactly was the weekly contribution set so low? You realize mechanically this creates zero upward pressure on the price right

That's an interesting perspective, thanks for sharing.

I guess we could call your strategy "revenge investing", where the primary goal is not to make money, but instead to own anonymous people online.

Here's how the scam works

>Create tokens out of thin air using a "smart" contract
>Unlock said tokens and dump on exchange
>Receive fees for Chain link services in ETH
>Use the ETH to buy back dumped tokens from exchange
>Lock tokens back up in a "reserve"

Imagine falling for this ponzi, imagine even...

Consider:
>For the federal employees that advocate for the strategical petroleum reserves, why exactly was the weekly contribution set so low? You realize mechanically this creates zero upward pressure on the price right
Does that make sense? And why?

Again and again fuddies are misunderstanding what a strategic reserve entails. You start one as a rainy day fund, to help during calamities, to soften the blow during economic downturns. Pumping the price of the asset being stockpiled is not the purpose of a strategic reserve (even though that is currently the narrative, I am aware, but certainly not a narrative started by Chainlink themselves). Asking Chainlink employees why the weekly contribution is set so low makes no sense, because it's a nonsensical question in the context of a reserve. Instead you should be asking why they won't divulge what % of profits is being stored and where the rest goes.

It's honestly extremely embarrassing that 10 days after Chainlink dropped the news you fuddies still haven't figured out a coherent angle of attack. I was also the one that had to put you on the trail of "what happens to the off chain profits" years ago because you retards couldn't come up with anything half decent and kept spamming nonsensical stuff for months on end. Shame on you.

Own around 10k of LINK itโ€™s my biggest bag. But Iโ€™ll be honest, this is real as fuck. Itโ€™s been without a doubt a self serving operation. Even when staking starts, I bet itโ€™ll be limited to institutions.

All I keep in mind was assblasters post - they donโ€™t want you in their club, but they need to create the artificial image of in plain sight for when this does become a few hundred billion to multi trillion cap (over the next 5 years) as the backbone of the new financial system.

Thereโ€™s no doubt in my mind it will be, as an organization as large as swift doesnโ€™t mince its words or create room for litigation - especially if Sergey says theyโ€™re going to power a quadrillion dollar market - these people arenโ€™t stupid.

They wouldnโ€™t let the partner theyโ€™re openly working with speak bullshit grandiosity unless it was based in reality, opens too many doors to litigation and public scandals.

No, OP was definitely confused.
The Link reserve is made up of Link tokens purchased on the open market, so it literally does generate upward price pressure.

OP was definitely thinking about something like XRP, which has no upward price pressure according to its own devs.

Appreciate the comment but my question was directed at employees.

For obvious reasons an altcoin is not the same as a finite natural resource so not appropriate to make the comparison.

>It's honestly extremely embarrassing

Why would someone need to insert the word "honestly" into a comment? Is the implication that you are so dishonest, that you have to announce to everyone when you decide to be honest for a change?

1B tokens, and they will be completely out of them by 2030. In this way it works exactly like a finite resource. I know you wish it didn't work this way, but it does.

>Why would someone need to insert the word "honestly" into a comment? Is the implication that you are so dishonest, that you have to announce to everyone when you decide to be honest for a change?
A social reject that can't parse a common figure of speech? Honestly surprising. My jaw is on the fucking floor right now!

>"Honestly" and "to be honest" are often used as figures of speech to introduce a statement, particularly when the speaker is about to express a potentially unpopular or sensitive opinion.
>While they can indicate a speaker is being truthful, they are also frequently used to soften the blow of an upcoming statement or to add emphasis.
It's safe to say I was adding emphasis to my disbelief and second hand embarrassment received by seeing you and your friends flail around desperately grasping for anything, and literally anything to latch on to. I make it a point to just follow the numbers in investing. When you became emotionally invested in an outcome it can skew your interpretation of the data.

Most certainly not. I explained to you how strategic reserves worked, you countered by saying this doesn't apply because tokens can not be compared to a finite resource. You saying this, however, doesn't make it true. Chainlink tokens are a finite resource, of which Chainlink Labs will run out of in 2030. This is why a token reserve makes sense. You may feel differently but that doesn't change the facts.

It's the line to get into the ODL that pushes the price up.
