>do 2 hours of work then do nothing for 4 hours
>get teams call from boss's boss asking for help
>answer his question in 10 seconds off the top of my head
>go back to doing nothing
yup it's just another day of being a wfh chad. and to think i used to bust my ass doing manual labor on rotating shifts in a factory for $18/hour.

Basado

We only get 2 days a week home office but I try to cram everything into the available 3 days and mostly just take turns playing music and vidya with Outlook open on the other two days.

>answer his question in 10 seconds
The big brain move would be to say you'll get to work on it and answer 20 minuites later.

more work than expected. I rather go back to sleep and not have to wake up 20 mins later to answer it

not being a complete slobbering retard and knowing a simple answer at crunch time can carry you for 2 years. you'll always be that guy who saved the day.

I've done this. It works every time. Also 8pm is too late. Do shit at like 6/7 that's always believable.

I do exactly the same. It's crazy how everyone thinks I'm such a hard worker because they see me work when I'm at work, so they just kind of assume I work just as hard when I'm at home.
It helps that my direct manager has no idea what I actually do, she's my superior in hierarchical terms but otherwise our jobs are completely different.

All it would take to get busted is one request to IT dept to compare my e-mail activity between wfh days and regular days.

Well when I was able to rarely work from home it was in public accounting.
I didn't work as hard but there's always fucking work to be done and if you get nothing done it's noticed, especially at a smaller office.
I seriously wonder how the fuck people get WfH jobs where they barely do anything.

I am so jealous how nearly everyone in the working world just has made up job where they do pretty much nothing and make 100-300k a year

I will be happy when ai replaces them so the bragging stops

im an accounting manager. you probably wont get a fully remote job until you have 3-5 years of exp. it's very competitive.

Don't be ridiculous. Almost no one can slip through the cracks for a long period of time.
And if they do, then they are poorly paid.
If they are well paid, it's usually because they are accountable for a shitton of stuff and people.

All I do for the vast majority of the day is playing Overwatch 2 and Counter-Strike 2 while flipping son and spx and a few others. I work like 2 hours a day max. Shit feels wrong, like I'm on a cheat code lifestyle that won't hold for long, I can feel the "hey anon can we hop on a call real quick?" coming.

Women like going to work because it’s just social time to them

Been working remote since Covid. Picked up a second remote job 18mo ago. Will bring in $250k-$300k this year working maybe 20-40hrs a week max. Got a way to hopefully hit $500k in a few years.
