It's not always about salaries to be honest. Immigrants will work more unpaid hours and will ignore most regulations which are hidden costs to labor.
We need to kick out immigrants but we also need to slash labor regulations. It makes wages expensier so companies look for slaves abroad.
One good policy that I read somewhere was that if the profit from the company was reinvested in the business to increase productivity it should be tax free.

I manage a transport family business and I deal with stupid regulations all the time. Every time we go to work to a new construction site I need to fill paperworkthat does nothing. It just exists to cover legalities but it makes it so you waste a lot of man hours in the office. Big corporations have whole departments just to fill this paperwork.
