If this is after student loans then it's not a very useful metric.

I think its safe to say the student loan experiment has been a massive failure. Its basically high-school 2.0, get in debt edition. The people still turn out retarded only now they are also entitled

This can't be real.
The median 35 year old only has $23k net worth, including house and car?
Or is this the global average? I was assuming USA..

You know, in most honest data analysis the anomalies are excluded for readability. I literally can't see shit on this chart besides the author seething at rich people

>look at 30-34
>wow I'm in the top 90% of my age group!!!
>remember I'm 36 now
>only top 75%
Fucking kill me.

>house and car
Both being paid by the (((bank))).
Do you know any 35yo that buys cars and houses in cash?

I buy used cars in cash and my house is paid off, 33

I've paid for every car I've bought in cash since I was 19. And even if you don't own a house you'll get more than $20k in equity fairly quickly

Most men spend a ridiculous amount of money in women and kids.
Anonymous (ID: PUyOAo7Q) No.60821665 >>60821698
>>60821641
Yeah exactly.
This is probably considering that financed cars/houses are technically net worth.
>>60821654
Well the average person isn't like you. Many people finance their cars.
I used to buy mine outright as well but it has become too difficult in the rust belt to get anything cheap and used that'll last.

Are they not contributing to a 401k at all? Any halfway decent company will offer a 4% 401k match, even if they just did that they'd have $20k after a few years of working. A 35 year old should be working a decent job for at least 5 years. I'm just not buying this data, or it was calculated wrongly somehow
Anonymous (ID: Z9MZSuNn) No.60821688
>>60821391
Ah, this makes sense. So the median 35 year old has $100k net worth, unlike what OP posted

technically NEGATIVE net worth*

If you have a mortgage and car loan those aren't part of your NW

Yes they are, you earn equity over time as you pay the loan off

modern cars depreciate faster than you build equity

I'm stupid.
Does the "90%" mean that data excludes the top 10%?
That still seems high... or am I finding out that I'm poverty tier? The top 90% of 39 year olds have 864k?
Like from bottom to top up to 90%?
