dont fit in at new job
Got a job as a part time firefighter and I dont fit in, its like giga extroverted jocks and Im pretty socially awkward, they are giving me a lot of paid training and it seems like a great job but I dont fit in at all and people seem to want me to leave when I try to interact, like today after my training I heard them talking about how autistic and weird another guy was, and when I walked over they were like "ok you can leave now bye"

Im only paid on call so I guess I can just finish my training and pick up a few shifts here and there and run calls when I want to but its stressing me out a little bit

These jobs are not for people like you or me.

Try something that requires a 3 digit IQ.

OP, the adjustment period of any new job sucks so much ass man. I always hated the first month or two of a new job, it's so hard being overwhelmed with all the training and information, awkwardly meeting all the new people, etc.

Give it a little time. Remember, you were hired, meaning you already beat out the other normie applicants. Yes, firefighting is for turbochads and sportsbros, so as an introvert you'll feel weird, that's ok. Just try to enjoy and vibe with the normgroids.

you could befriend the guy the cliquey girls were gossiping about out of jealousy.

Kek being bad at socialization is a sign of low intelligence. It’s the oldest cope in the book that introverts tell themself that socially smart people are dumb. Loads of smart people are extroverted. I know this high iq very attractive chick whose dad is s firefighter turned politician. I’m extroverted myself and my IRL tested iq was 125. OP is just boring, unfunny, inexperienced and can’t read other people. Why would socially skilled people like that? Good thing is, all those things can be trained.

This is only true if you bend over backwards to define intelligence as a metric for how to thrive and survive in human society. On the other hand, anyone of any actual intelligence can see that human society is a terrible, living machine, and that being in that machine and playing the games it requires of you means submitting yourself and giving up your soul. Keep socializing and reaping the material rewards from it, but just know that you are less than a slave at your core.

Those were just some examples, universities are full of extroverted people. If you spend time with people, you learn pretty quickly that many extroverts are smart.

All that matters is being attractive. If you are attractive, no one gives a fuck if you're extraverted or introverted. If you're attractive and introverted, people just think you're "mysterious". While unattractive and introverted people are considered "creeps". It's all genetics. Always has been, always will. Consume the Blackpill

how did you ever past the screening as autist? What country do you live in that they hire literal retards for fire fighters?

I think you’re misreading the situation. The firefighters in this case are likely feeling rather than Thinking types in the myers Briggs model. This doesn’t mean they are dumb but to a young Thinker type they certainly appear that way. They are likely obsessed with the weather and local sports as opposed to anything about Bitcoin or whatever. But again that doesn’t mean they are dumb. That’s hard to understand unless you understand personality models. And on the flip side the OP isn’t dumb for not getting that. He sees a bunch of people who don’t know jack shit about the world and have zero interest in it and determines wow they must be dumb. That’s rational at a surface level, but interest and IQ are different things.

I work EMS full time and it took me several years before I even started to feel like I "fit in".
