The banks only need to balance their books so they will happily undermine the dollar to keep asset prices high and themselves solvent. They hoard all of the gold so even if they destroy the dollar they can recapitalize the replacement currency. Banks are more scared of deflation than anything because they need to keep money circulating at all costs. It's like running a pump that's not in water where it damages the equipment.
Knowing this: I think precious metals are an indispensible asset to own in the events the economy turn so sour that GME struggles. The debts are twice as large as the GDP so what even is the point of collecting dollars other than that is how the system has operated for 85 years. The banks can't honor the bonds without destroying the cash. They can't destroy the bonds and save the cash without destroying the banks which then also kills the cash and the stock market and everything else. There is no panacea, only economic losses that need to be eaten by someone. The best way to absorb an impact is to spread out force. Hence the crowd will 100% necessarily be the ones who will have the burden put on their shoulders. It will be stocks, bonds, pensions, SS benefits, mediare entitlements etc that all go poof overnight. They can't be paid so they won't be paid. Count on it.

No one just has buckets of cash sitting on the sidelines (usually). In order to buy up GME shares, a metric fuckton of selling it going to have to take place first. We could be seeing a large entity (government, the Fed likely wants to keep this at arms length) start to provide full liquidity to unload large positions for cash.

The institutions are going long which means they no longer think it is feasible to prop up Citadel. They probably needed these last few years just to make arrangements to cover his derivatives and other assets. As if the entirety of Wallstreet isn't aware of GME. The reason they don't pile in on GME is because they are all probably owed money via derivatives on other trades by Citadel. Hey retards did you not see the +20% chx volume that happened recently? It's not that complicated. You buy short dated calls now. It runs 2 weeks after that. Sell the calls at peak IV and get shares. Then sell covered calls at that high iv. That's how you increase your stack. Or dont idgaf.

But if you were earmarking some of your shares to trade you could be mimicking his success as well. I think the fundamentals and the fact that the option chain reached all the way out $125 per share makes me not want to swing trade. But he showed us it can be done. With all of the SEC filings that have been coming out, I do tend to think we are set for another run. Will this be MOASS or a great opportunity to swing? Hell if I know.

Of course we are set for another run. This stock always explodes out of nowhere for “no reason”. Because of Newton I finally started buying LEAPs when they keep right on cash per share x2 long enough for the IV to drop. I am currently more set up for a pop than I have ever been and I’m really looking forward to it. The fact the options chain goes to $125 is the market maker stopping a gamma ramp and the price squeezing. Same thing happened in June when the price ran up to $36, MM opened new higher expiries to get people to ape into and they lost money.
