The thing people need to understand about Warren Buffett, is that he's got two things going for him that most investors don't:
1. He's fucking rich. He doesn't need to perfectly catch a knife or sell a top to make tons of money.
2. Partially as a consequence of 1, and also as a general personality trait, he is PATIENT. He doesn't have a problem being wrong about a trade for a few percentage points for a couple months or a year or two, he will wait until the market proves him correct at a large profit to close his trade.
