If you adhere to 'board culture', you are as pathetic as the redditors that talk about 'belonging' to an 'online community'.

Your faggot community is worthless and I don't give a fuck about its rules. I'll keep using the name field, and if you hate it, all the better.

Wasn't it obvious? Early to mid bull cycle suddenly threads and arguments appear that eth is done for, will never make it, sell while you can! Going to zero! And rich jews won't keep staking and all that.
It was clear.
Now imagine what Link will do.

I don't keep count, but it can't be much. It's basically just a little (mini) PC box that runs not particularly intensive service processes 24/7. It's not like it's doing PoW-mining or some such. You'll probably use multiples of that energy if you play some resource-heavy PC game for 1h per day.

Makes sense, my PC having a screen dedicated to displaying some chart 24/7 probably burns more.
I really should get one setup as a side project of farming 1+ ETH a year

The APR isn't super duper great these days, maybe 3% or so. I'm basically just doing it as a hobby tinkering project to teach me about Linux basics and Ethereum internals all while hodling my ETH.

It'll be a side project/hobby as well to learn more about hardware stuff since I'm comfy enough with *nix, solidity and ETH mechanisms to make it work.
And I have enough capital where fossilizing 32ETH + whatever compounds wouldn't be a large chunk of $ gone.

Setting shit up is much easier these days for Linux amateurs like me because you can just shove cryptic CLI errors or logger output into ChatGPT/Gemini and just ask "what's with that" and get a half-decent answer most of the time.

How much bandwidth does it need? I looked into doing this before but got the impression it needs lots of upload
Anonymous (ID: 3+929H8I) No.60834662 >>60834857 >>60834964
Unironically where do we go from here? You'd have to be insane to buy into a 15% pump.

From my understanding around 100/50mbps down/up for a node. Works for me since I'm definitely not fully utilising the bandwidth on my gigabyte connection, and it probably won't affect the throughput on my non-node connections
Anonymous (ID: LqfEEDbv) No.60834822
>>60834642
>>60834681
On my node, it's maybe an average of about 5-10Mb/s in both directions which is quite typical I think. It's quite spiky tho with the occasional burst when it's propagating data. Which is on average maybe comparable to having a 720p or 1080p YouTube video playing constantly in both directions. It's gone up with the increase in blob data recently and may go up more in the future.

I never had issues with it until a few months ago (getting lots of annoying disconnects while playing some online shooter). I did have to fiddle with some CLI parameters to get it fixed (lowering some 'max peer count' value or some such).

Bitcoin and ETH have switched roles, like in the bedroom metaphorically. ETH is doing the fucking. Like, I don't know how else you want me to explain its called a paradigm shift and ETH is currently the leading coin and most important coin.
