When exactly is this pressure going to start manifesting? When Bitcoin gets flipped the devs wake up and start organizing a hard fork? You do realize a hard fork is needed for such changes? You also realize once there is enough will to do it, it will still take ~a year to write the code and pull the hard fork off safely?
