Unironically some countries have been utterly buttfucked by US interest rates.
Like even $100 would genuinely help someone make it through the month.
I'm hoping my divvyfolio can produce a nice, safe consistent $300-500 per month for me to just give away to extended family back home (2nd gen immigrant not brown fyi)

Possible scenarios:
>Inflation goes down, unemployment low
>We cut
>Market party

>Inflation stagnant, but unemployment going up strong
>we cut
>Market???

>Inflation picking up, employment weakening = "balance" (in unwelcome circumstances"
>We cut
>Market parties

Basically it doesn't matter why they cut, but just that they cut. It's the worst scenario and the market is still happy

No, but the first 10x is over. ASTS is going to provide a service to the big telecoms not compete with them. ASTS was going to go more moderate with the sat build and launch schedule but because of the military contracts and demand for their serivce they are going all out to build and launch. If a rocket blows up it will really set them back because they plan to launch 5-8 sats at a time. I have 1,300 shares and expect this to be a $100 stock next year as its service gets started. If I new about it when it was $5 I would have 10,000 shares already.

the spike up at the beginning was AMC, I was too late for GME (at least in my opinion, so I put some money on AMC and dumped it when it spiked). The downward trend was due to PLTR and LCID. I took the loss on LCID sold at a loss and reinvested the remaining and those paid off. And around that time PLTR started gaining again. the sharp increase about Jan25 was PLTR going to 60 and I sold it to capture the gains and bought into ATT and someothers which have gained well. Most of my mone is earning like 4% in an ETF of government treasuries - this is safety to protect from any major losses. After PLTR hit about 114 then delined to 85 I bought in again. I have no problem selling any stock to lock in gains and establish a new floor. Sometimes I do nothing for weeks or a month or two, sometimes I swing trade, rarely day trade. My luck could change, I have expectations of good choices going forward, so I play mostly a defensive game to capture and keep any big gains.

I should add I had my share of losers too, but the losers were -50%, but the winners were +2-10x so they gains offest the losses by far. That is actually part of my strategy, how to try to minimize potential/actual losses and maximize potential gains. I am taking an ass pounding on CRWV, but I believe long term it will pa off so I am holding.

Nice. This could help drive her down to lower end of her healthy range, might even dip into underweight territory. The price was unaffected by the negative earnings, as expected, but that was a good piece of fud in the first part of last week. And despite her inexperience Kjirstin didn’t say anything over the top or retarded on the webinar. So not much fud material there either. Exactly. The science is fake and gay. And who still trusts experts after the covid fiasco? This thing is clearly a scam designed to distract normies from buying silver.

Yeah sorry, I blame the slow weekend plis thread split
My idea was to get an extra 1-2% yield per year on option premium, not be greedy and get a little extra juice longterm. First year I did it they closed ITM and I didnt rebuy them and they rocketed past 75$ and I missed about $1700 of gains.

WMT matches 15% payroll contributions, up to a max of $1800 USD (so about $240 from them per year). In practice, it gives me about a 13% downside buffer before I lose money. My ACB is about $70

Gotta watch my TFSA contributions too. I had a TFSA transfer within TD count as a deposit/withdrawl combo and got dinged

Anon, I don't want to doomsay your position, but I think consumer defensives like Walshart will turn into steaming piles of burning dogshit the longer time goes on.

TFR is below replacement rates. Walshart and other defensives rely on constant growth of population to grow themselves. More consumers, more profits.

Now what if consumers are old fucks who die off, and the young consumers refuse to fuck?

I would like to thank that anon that made me laugh so hard when he wrote HGARF was moving to a new business park located in Austin Texas so they could get acetylene pumped directly into their new building. I have not lol'd that hard in a long time.

I need tickers of companies that amount to funny grunting and moaning sounds. Stuff like GRRR.

Bonus points if they are profitable.

If you take care of your body, eat right, and exercise, the universe won’t need to try as hard to keep you alive. A stron connection to the structure of religion, for example the teachings of Christ, will keep you focused and pure. This results in fortune naturally coming to you.

Just live simply and play the cards you are dealt. Money doesnt buy happiness, but it gives you more options and choices, which then DO lead to happiness.

I think thats a symptom of the modern world (and especially western nations). Its a systemic problem and the current capitalist model thrives on infinite growth. I believe current inflation is tied to projected growth - population declines so more inflation is needed to make number go up. As long as its not cash or pennyshit, I should do alright

For WMT specifically, theyre turbojews about keeping cost down, and economy of scale. Theyll find alpha there, and also logistics and geographic distribution.

Personally I think AI and automation is the future and my main port is roughly equal weighted WMT, bonds, and materials/energy/metals

I don’t think she works at the geek.

Kevin needs to have an intern check his tweets. He routinely confuses there/their and every time I see that it makes me want to market sell my entire bag. Do Canadians not make the distinction?

Speaking of leafs, in the next few days I plan to start an HGRAF containment thread over on /bant/ if the jannies allow it. I won’t mind a tit if someone beats me to it. Stuck phoneposting until Monday. We need flags. Making a general here won’t work as /biz/ is not for shilling, only fudding, imo.

I think it probably dumps right off the bat. It's easy for me to dismiss it since I already made some money, but the temptation to jump back something like is a constant for me; I try to be protective of my gains.
I think it's going to behave similar to BBAI, where the price movement gets stuck in a range familiar to bag holders
